We had a lovely four day stay at the Sofitel. The beds are very comfortable, the restaurant has good food, and the staff is very attentive and helpful. I'd like to thank Te, Vard, Leng, Noud, Ny and Ning for their hard work to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.

Sofitel Luang Prabang is a gem of a place. We absolutely appreciate the pared down luxury details of the hotel, and the layout of the grounds and buildings. So quietly elegant. We are so compelled to maximise our time in the hotel, especially at the beautiful pool. The personnel of the hotel truly made our stay very warm. When we left, we left as friends. They took time to get to know us and shared with us their own stories and that of Luang Prabang. Te, Vard, Ning, Noudny, Leng, Phone and Mawar, to name but just a few. They are professional, friendly and made sure that we get the best of the Luang Prabang experience. The hotel is not located on the footsteps of town to be sure. But we find that a plus since it gave us the opportunity to explore the surroundings. Nevertheless it is just 15mins walk away from the tail end of the night market, 20 if you’re a slow walker. Our favourite restaurant is Manda De Lao, do not miss it! It’s quite close to the Sofitel. The food is absolutely fantastic and its UNESCO protected pond is breath-taking. Feast for both tummy and eyes.

This being our first visit to Luang Prabang, we carefully chose Sofitel among many hotels, and it exceeded our expectations. The airport transfer service, complete with a charming welcome basket of cookies and juice, was such a thoughtful touch. From check-in to departure, your staff—Te, Vard, Ning, Noudny, Leny, Phone, Vanhdy, and Bath—provided sincere and exceptional service, making us feel genuinely cared for. We spent 2 nights at the hotel and absolutely loved the place. The hotel is a century old landmark mansion with beautiful lobby area, gardens and pool reflects both cultural heritage of Luang Prabang and French colonial architecture. The place is beautiful and very serene ambience with the very spacious, neat and comfortable room. The hotel staffs are very attentive, friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you to Mr. Tae, the duty manager for taking good care of us. Special mention to Mr. Ter, the hotel chauffeur who surprisingly got the forgotten umbrella from the shop in the Old Town quarter during the mid of the 2nd night for us. Your hospitality is totally impressed! We extremely felt Wow….! Breakfast is great, especially the egg station. The restaurant staffs are very attentive and all smiling. Overall service is excellent.
