We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It is located very closely to a metro station (just around the corner) and in walking distance to most attractions. The breakfast is great and with a variety of home made bred to choose from, fresh fruit and cereals. The room was clean and new. The rooftop swimming pool area is a great place to relax after a day in the city. This hotel can only be recommended, and is a great price friendly alternative to some of the other hotels in the area.

The rooms are very comfortable. Geraldine at the restaurant was so sweet and very helpful with siteseeing ideas. My favorite hotel so far from our numerous hotels on our two week trip.

A Gem In Bogatell

What a find!! We arrived very late but the night desk were great at getting us in as soon as possible and we knew instantly we were onto a winner. Generous breakfast, great location and a rooftop pool and bar - what’s not to like?! Best bit is that we had a day to kill in the city before our evening flight so they stored our luggage safely and gave us access to the rooftop pool with towels for the day. One of those places where service, location and property all come together - perfect!

Room & Cleanliness: The room was okay, however by no means worth the money the hotel asks for. It was quite tired looking and you could tell it was due a quick freshen up. I must admit that the room was clean to the eye, however after I started to unpack I noticed dust and dirt behind doors and marks on the table (like they hadn't been wiped). The shower door was broken and would make a large clunking sound whenever it was opened, and wouldn't shut fully so water leaked out onto the floor. Beds were made daily, but linen was not changed. There is no fridge, safe or tea/coffee amenities in the room. I didn't find the room very quiet and noise could be heard from the hallway, neighbouring rooms, and the large construction site opposite my window. Staff: Staff were pleasant and friendly, I didn't interact with them too much aside from checking in and out, and ordering drinks. I admittedly did not raise any of the points I make in this review with them, as I didn't want the fuss of people potentially coming into my room/changing rooms and raising a complaint only for nothing to be able to be done to resolve it (such as the poor breakfast selection). Therefore, I cannot comment on how they may handle issues. Rooftop Pool & Bar: This is a real hidden gem, and worth a visit if you are staying in this hotel. The pool is a reasonable size, and the hotel offer towels for you to use. The hotel also has a lovely ground floor terrace where you can order food and drinks. Breakfast: I personally found the breakfast disappointing and boring. There were a lot of pastries and bread, with a selection of jams (no butter). The hot food selection was some mini hot dog sausages and some scrambled egg which was either congealed or so watery it was more like porridge. I think you'd have a more satisfying meal walking to the McDonalds by the beach or a cafe nearby and having something there. Location: The hotel itself is in a relatively good spot - but only if you are an avid walker or can navigate the metro. I tend to walk everywhere as I find this easier, and utilise the 'Hop On and Off' bus if I'm wanting to visit specific things that are otherwise not easily accessible. The Bogatell metro right next to the hotel, or the Parc De la Ciatadella and Arc de Triomf are a 20 minute straight walk. From there, you will be able to hop on a tourist bus or walk on to the Gothic Quarter. A walk to the beach is 15-20 minutes. There is a taxi rank outside of the hotel however it is hit and miss on whether a taxi will be available. Overall: In conclusion, I do feel as though for the money you could get a nicer hotel which is in a better location. I felt quite uneasy about the fact there was not a safe in the room, and the general feeling that the room was potentially not cleaned to a high standard with the visible dirt being seen. The staff were super friendly and the public areas of the hotel were immaculate and fun, however the individual rooms were lacking. I had a lovely stay, and if someone was to consider this hotel I wouldn't desperately scare them away - but I would advise to consider other options as I personally will not be repeating a stay here again.

Regarding the beverage facilities, while we don't provide kettles in the rooms, we do offer complimentary coffee and water at our welcome corner in the lobby all day. For guests who prefer tea, our bar remains open 24 hours where you can request hot water anytime. We're sorry if this did not meet your personal comfort preferences and take note of your perception regarding the value our hotel offers.
