Was placed here overnight when British Airways cancelled my flight. Check in was slow, bar shut very early (although the kind person behind the bar did stay a bit later than she was paid to to serve us some drinks). Dinner had already finished when we arrived so can’t comment on that. Room was smallest I’ve ever stayed in (just about fitted a single bed) and was dated and need refurbished (peeling wallpaper etc). No hot water in the morning for a shower, some other guests did have hot water but several didn’t so I expect they had run out of hot water by 8.30am). Breakfast was ok but nothing fancy and they seemed surprised when we asked for plates. Tea bags at breakfast of very poor quality - no choice and several broke open when used. Communal areas comfy enough. Some staff are friendly and helpful whereas others view guests as an inconvenience. It was ok for a night which I wasn’t paying for but there is a reason it had space for a lot of folk from a cancelled flight and I would have been very unhappy if I’d paid for it.

Staff here rock, although most of the customers could do better on manners and behaviour

I stayed for a week to get around London on business and to see friends. The rates are really good and when you look at what you get it’s fine in comparison with an average London hotel. The staff were all really friendly and helpful despite having some of the worst and rudest guests I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Sure there are aspects of the hotel which are a bit tired but it is a busy busy busy hotel with guests who crash through the place with tons of luggage and very few manners. I made a point of being chatty, friendly and supportive of the people working in the hotel. They work incredibly hard here and they appreciate a moment of thanks or some kindness. Having waited briefly in a queue and listening to loud mouthed American tourists complaining that their entitled asses had to wait whilst someone else got served, I am surprised they stay. But it is a good thing they do. They must be frazzled. Roomwise- standard motel type fair - not quite the swank of some Mercure Hotels, but they charge accordingly. Travelling to London is a quick 15-20 mins walk to The Elizabeth line which whips you quickly into the capital and beyond (with an Asda on route) (yes dear tourist - we cannot put ‘Big Ben’ right next to every place so you can run past take a selfie and say “we did x y and z things” but it really isn’t far. Cheap in a cab too but I prefer to get the exercise. I took a day out to see a bit of countryside and watch some planes, and I managed nights out in the city too alongside a pile of business attended to. There is a lovely pub just down the road towards Harlington too. A massive plus in this property is the super chilling aircon which gets it down to 16C if you don’t like being hot when you sleep. Also, the wifi is fast and free - I did several hours of zoom meetings with no drop out and clear audio/ video all the way. So, yes there are things which could be better but there are way worse places to stay. I am realistic about what to expect for the money and I really enjoyed it. Breakfast is ok for the price as well. Give them a go and give the staff a break! I have just booked another 5 nights at the end of August.

This is one of the worst stays we have ever had! Window won’t close, we could hear the traffic all night, the room is very dark, stains on the carpet, cracked sink, no windows in the very dated bathroom… overall, it’s a very depressing place to stay. Not to mention that it’s overly priced and you still have to pay for the car parking. Also, breakfast is not included in the rooms price. I don’t recommend this place to anybody.

Do not stay here!

We booked this through Holiday Extras which had rated it 8/10. Unfortunately I did not check Tripadvisor reviews! As you drive up to the hotel, there is a large amount of rubbish dumped at the side of the road. It looked like an inner city slum! We checked into the room which we found very dated and dirty. The carpet was badly stained and the bathroom was not somewhere you would want to wash or shower in. There is a problem with the plumbing so there is a sign requesting guests to flush the toilet twice. There is a very limited restaurant menu and a lack of staff. I almost booked us into another hotel but we had an early flight the next day so we stayed. Wish I had booked another hotel as a was bitten in the night whilst sleeping! Mercure hotels are usually nice but I would advise you not to stay here!

There are certain brands that you trust to deliver a certain standard and then again ..

Underwhelming right from the moment the taxi drew up. Peeling paintwork and overflowing bins welcome you to your first stop after arrival at Heathrow. Pre-arrival I had asked if it was ok to post something in advance for me to collect. However nobody here knows anything and just politely go through the motions of looking and then apologize. Grab a quick pint before lugging our 5 cases to the room. Just our luck room 123 is miles from reception along winding claustrophobic inducing corridors that has the paint chipped off almost every doorframe. Finally arriving at room 123. Two adults , five cases zero floor space. The bed is super soft, I'll give them that. Bathroom is bigger than the bedroom. The toilet is so squashed into the corner you can only locate "one cheek" at a time. The very high bath ( not as young as I was) the shampoo dispenser that didn't work, the instructions free shower all added to my frustration. The first night of a special holiday was not going as planned. On the upside the breakfast was good, but they didn't appear ready for the throng. Paper coffee cups, no cutlery etc Things can only get better
