Stayed 9nights for my business, the room was small but enough. Laundry was tough to use for foreigners because the instructions were only Portuguese, but do not worry, very kind staff would support us. Wendler was the receptionist and he helped me a lot! The price is affordable, and staff is kind I think this place does not make you regret.

I had a very nice experience at ibis budget. Cleanliness and staff were amazing. Shout out for Wendler and Mayumi. They were really helpful in my my stay in Ibis and easy going. The breakfast was really good too.

I am deeply dissatisfied with my experience at the Ibis Budget Botafogo during my stay from October 15 to 17, 2025. On July 28, 2025, I booked a superior room with a minibar in advance and paid in full, as advertised on the hotel's website/booking platform. However, upon arriving for check-in, I was informed that the room I had reserved was no longer available. Instead, I was offered a standard room, without a minibar, with a clearly inferior structure, including a pull-out/transverse bed above the double bed, which completely compromises the comfort promised and expected. I requested a manager to try to resolve the situation, but was informed that there is no manager available during the night, and that I should return in the morning to try to negotiate a room change. However, this is unfeasible, as I am on a business trip and cannot compromise my working time trying to resolve an error that was not my fault. The attendent was rude to me, and offered no alternatives. I do not recomment this hotel. I consider this incident a serious breach of contract and disrespectful to the consumer.

My stay is really good, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Wendler helped us with our check in and later when with some other issues we had about our phone card. He was super helpful, kind and funny. I recommend to stay here 🫶🏻
