Lovely hotel. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The housekeeping staff are very helpful and do a fantastic job at cleaning the room. 5 star cleaning. The breakfast is tasty and always plenty to choose from. We didn't eat at night as we went out but the meals we did see people have over the 2 days looked really nice. We will be returning next month when we return to barnsley for the weekend to visit family.

This is our second visit and definately the last! Barnsley was very hot when we visited, we was given room 325 on 3rd floor at back overlooking railway line. Constant trains up to 11pm ish, couldn't shut window as too hot and no air conditioning. Mirror was so dirty I wrote clean me on it, next day still like it. Cleaning isn't the best here. Pillows not the best and mattress topper kept slipping down, if they had decent mattresses they wouldn't need these toppers! Bathroom basic shower kept losing pressure. Key card to room failed everyday so we had to make a trip downstairs to get it sorted,apparently this is a common problem, if its a problem then rectify It. I asked reception did they have a fan she said yes,now why haven't they got them in the rooms in this heat, she brought one up to us as we was standing outside room as couldn't get in, she was very good she took our key card downstairs and brought it back up. Wouldn't stay again sorry

The rooms are very clean and the bed was comfortable . The shower was really nice and had lots of room . Real value for money. Staff were friendly and helpfully bright a fan up to my room as the weather was extremely hot.I'd say the hotel is better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in.

Very clean and tidy, spotless, in fact. Only downside was the room I had was overlooking the busy main road leading onto the M1. If you get a room on the other side of the hotel this wouldn't be a problem. Noisy, and could be a problem if you're a light sleeper, which I am not. If you have the window open even noisier. Wouldn't put me off returning.

Good location if you want to be right on the M1 motorway not necessarily a plus for sleeping. Very clean rooms basic breakfast and bar daytime food menu poor. Staff are friendly the worst bit for me seems like a simple thing, but the pillows were terrible. Might as well put your head on a bag of sand.
