Worst Hotel Experience

Stayed at this hotel 4th July with two family members which included my young daughter. No problem at check-in. I was disappointed by the size of the room but thought, ok, it's a budget hotel. However, I noticed the the bedclothes on the top bunk was stained and covered in hairs. I refused to let my daughter sleep there so after complaining at reception, we were given a different room on the same floor (ground). This was marginally better. The rooms have no kettle but we were given one on request. No teabags/coffee but we were offering a single teabag for £1.50! No thanks! We then settled in for the night but we're awaken at around 2am by loud banging in the room above us, doors slamming in the corridor followed by various people shouting and swearing. That was the end of any sleep for us so started the day feeling tired and irritable. I realise this is a budget hotel but it shouldn't be this horrible. I think this is more a hostel than a hotel. Tbh, I'd rather pay a bit more and be comfortable and be able to make a hot drink. Glad I didn't book the breakfast which is £8 extra per head. The offerings looked as awful as the rest of my experience. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not!

Great place to stay for the Sheffield Utilita Arena

Pros: - Exceptionally short walk to the Sheffield Utilita Arena - The retail park is close - Comfortable (but small) single beds - Meadowhall Shopping Centre is a long walk or a short drive - Good continental breakfast - Friendly, helpful staff Cons: - small car park (we arrived at 13:30 and there were 4 places left !) - small rooms with little space for anything - tiny old TV (no ITV channel on our TV), scan up in the 700s for cable equivalents

Don’t expect anything special from this hotel. Without doubt the worse room I have stayed in by a long way. Budget in name, but not in price. £131 for what was essentially a prison cell, not even a separate bathroom. This came after they had moved us from the much nicer hotel in the city due to ‘overbooking’ by the system. Absolutely awful.

Perfect location for going to the Arena, does what it says it’s a Budget hotel not somewhere to stay if you want to spend a lot of time in your room but the room was comfortable warm and clean the staff deserve 5 stars everyone friendly and helpful

Got here an hour early and was able to access the room after 10 minutes, our room was supposed to have been a classic room but it was a standard room with bunk overhead, the room was clean and although we were facing the road it was nice and quiet. Room was very clean, towels were changed daily (we were there for 3 nights) we took our own kettle as there are no kettles in the room but that was not a problem for us, the hotel is close to the arena and trams into the town centre and Meadowhall, very close to the centertainment where there are lots of places to eat. Overall staff very friendly nice location and a great hotel.
