Me and my gfriend fell ill with covid, call the hotel to move the booking try to charge us £100 more, I said no, so we when any way both to ill, no help, will not be going to again, save your money don't go hear, not happy at all, wast of good money, rubbish!!!!

Budget doesn't come into it. Rooms are so basic. Bed very uncomfortable and the bunkbed for a 3rd person is a joke. We had to put the mattress on the floor. No kettle, tea, coffee etc. Had to be friendly with your room mates as shower in the room with a glass door. The only good thing was ita locality to the arena. Great for going to a concert. I also don't think the price was very budget.

Regarding the bunk bed: You booked a standard room which has got a bunk be on it. You could book a bigger room with a bigger space. Regarding the tea and coffee facilities in the rooms: We do not provide this service in the rooms. This is the standard for all Ibis budget hotels in UK but we have a coffee machine next to the reception. Regarding the price: We are usually selling from £39.00. You can book this price in advance. This hotel is the definition of budget, the room was very basic but it has everything you need for a nights sleep. The bed was on the firm side but I prefer a firm bed over a soft one, the pillows offered the right amount of firmness. The room was also nice & clean, no dust to be found anywhere but there was scuff marks on the wall where suitcases had been dragged. The TV was small but offered quite a lot of channels & the screen quality was very good, it also had a clock built in which was very handy. Some people might find it odd that the sink is in the bedroom, also the shower opens straight into the bedroom so not much privacy if your sharing the room. The toilet is in a small room on it's own, despite the limited space there's enough space to wipe! The staff I encountered on check in/out were friendly, the only real complaints I have is that the hotel is currently being refurbed & the corridor carpet had been removed leaving a bare dusty floor. It would have been nice if someone had informed me of the work taking place during check in, not even any mention of the refurb work on the website. The only thing I didn't like was not having a chair to sit on, yes there's a hard plastic stool but it's not very comfy to sit on, also I couldn't get the heating to work despite following the instructions, I could have gone down to reception but it was very late & I was tired.

Basic, good location friendly staff

This past weekend, my colleagues and I attended a book launch event in Sheffield, this hotel was located next door to the event so great location. As the title suggests this is a basic hotel, but meet our needs. I’m a wheelchair user so booked an accessible twin room, Space in the room was limiting but bathroom had walk in shower with both a seat attached to the wall or and high adjustable shower chair, The toilet was low, but that’s not unusual. Bed was comfortable. On arrival staff were friendly and pleasant.

Booked this on the day I wanted to stay as I'd got a last minute ticket to see Take That at the arena. I usually stay at the Premier Inn or the Travelodge and to be honest I didn't know this place existed. Everywhere else was sold out and the fact that this wasn't made me a little dubious. I needn't have worried. This was a perfect place to stay for the arena, it was literally next to to the arena car park, which was great for getting to the show, but even better afterwards! I saw on Google maps that the car park was small (only 44 spaces) so I went early and was pleased I did as they filled up quickly. Even though I was early I was able to check in (about 2pm). A lot of other people seemed surprised at the car park charge. This is clear on the website and as you actually enter the car park, so I don't know why people were surprised. Check in staff, and every member of staff I encountered was lovely. They met my request not to be on the ground floor which was perfect. The room was as you'd expect for a 2 star hotel. I likened it to a student room really. The shower was just a glass door off the main room, and the toilet was just behind a door. The sink was within the main room. There was a lot of chipped paint and woodwork, but again, that's what I'd expect for 2 stars. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. I'd now make this my first choice when going to the arena.
