We arrived early, so we could visit the NEC, organising parking was easy and quickly sorted out and reasonably priced. Check-in was quick and easy, our room was clean and had everything we needed, although USB plug points would have been a bonus. We stopped for a drink in the bar which turned into a beer with a dessert, both of which were good prices and delivered by friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was great value but we did need to make staff aware that a couple of items needed topping up, and the pastries had all gone by 9.45am which on a Sunday felt early. Overall we would definitely stay again.

Budget hotel at NEC but not well located

So this is a cheap hotel. If that is your priority it’s is fine, safe once you are there, clean, friendly staff and edible breakfast. But if anywhere else at the NEC is in your budget, go there instead. Beds were comfy, shower was decent It is a uninspiring ( frightening at night) walk ( some took taxis) from the NEC thru the warehouses and an elderly lift despite being close, all the other hotels are near restaurants and the lake. The breakfast was only £11 but was super basic, only one coffee machine Decor was not old but uninspiring No room safe or fridge But it was cheap

Dear NMMJ I would like to clarify all hotels around the NEC need to be walked to or take a taxi and the lighting is the same for all routes. Also the elderly lift you are referring to is the one at the NEC, not our hotel lifts which are modern and quick. Thank you for highlighting the hotels clean, decent shower, friendly staff and edible breakfast and that we are value for money in comparison to the other hotels and no hotels have mini bars or fridges anymore. Also we have 2 coffee machines and a barista machine behind the bar. Kind regards

Just done a 2 night stay for my daughters dancing competition at the NEC. Good hotel, food ok, excellent breakfast. However, what makes this hotel amazing is one of the managers called Duncan. He is so Welcoming, friendly, chatty and nothing is too much trouble. We will 100% be staying here again just for him. Ibis are very lucky to have him as one of their managers. Andy and Lei

Another great stay. Down for Crufts. Staff just so pleasant & friendly. Wee problem on arrival as shown to a room with double bed for me & my friend (good friends BUT!!!!) Changed to a twin room. Breakfast lovely. Terrible TV in room but not the end of the world. Special thanks to bar staff who were so cheery. Obviously had dogs with me & great area out back but REALLY disappointed to see so much "poo" not lifted. HOW RUDE of owners. Also WHY let your dog pee on the front doors of the hotel!! Just one complaint. Note through door to say outstanding bill. I was checking out in morning & would pay bill then. REALLY rude of hotel.

An awful nights sleep, creaky fold out bed, thin duvets, a coolish room and shortage of pillows. None of us as a family of four slept well, so not a great start to our holiday. Location was good for car parking for the airport but not for restaurants in the NEC area.

We have recently installed air conditioning and heating in all our rooms so the bedroom temperature can be controlled in all rooms by our guests. Extra pillows are available on request. The hotel has a restaurant so locations to other restaurants is not something we consider. kind regards
