A memorable stay at Sofitel Sentosa with minor upgrades needed

I stayed at Sofitel Sentosa for two nights and had an overall pleasant experience. Sam at the hotel entrance was warm and welcoming and Don at the reception made the check-in process smooth and efficient. There is a fish spa in this hotel which is a casual, complimentary activity located outdoors next to LeBar. It is a small fish pond where you can dip your feet in and let the small fishes nibble at the dead skin on your feet, creating a mild exfoliation effect and a uniquely ticklish sensation. It is novel, light-hearted addition to the resort experience. We dined at The Cliff, where Wilson and Emma were attentive and professional. The food was served promptly and was enjoyable. We were especially appreciative of the complimentary chocolate cake provided for my son’s birthday — a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more memorable. The bar offered a lovely evening ambience and redeeming our drink vouchers there as Accor plus members was a relaxing experience. The hotel’s landscaping and decorative features are lovely and thoughtfully maintained, though we did notice a few cobwebs on top of a lighted lamp just outside Le Bar; addressing such small details could make the overall impression even more polished. The room was quiet and serene, surrounded by lush greenery, and the sound of birds enhanced the resort-like atmosphere. We also appreciated the in-room amenities, including the complimentary Nespresso coffee machine and TWG tea, which added a nice touch of comfort and convenience to our stay. The bathroom was spacious, with a very strong shower pressure, which was excellent. The design is a standout feature, particularly the colourful mosaic tiles in the shower and wet areas, which add character and visual interest compared to more conventional hotel bathrooms. That said, signs of wear and tear were noticeable, with a few tiles becoming loose. Positively, after contacting the One-Touch hotline, a mechanic arrived within 10 minutes to address the issue, demonstrating the hotel’s efficient service recovery. Requests for additional towels were also fulfilled promptly. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion provided in the rooms are from Balmain, supplied in recyclable dispensers, helping to reduce waste while still offering a premium experience. As a small suggestion, adding a bidet in the toilet could further enhance guest comfort, as this is a feature commonly found and appreciated in many hotels worldwide. Additionally, switching from bar soap to liquid or pump soap in the bathroom could be a more sustainable option, helping to reduce wastage while maintaining guest convenience. The shuttle bus service was another highlight — it operates very punctually every 15 minutes from 7am to 11:30pm and provides convenient access to HarbourFront Exit D, which is directly connected to VivoCity with a wide variety of dining and shopping options. The drivers were also consistently courteous and friendly. One minor drawback was that the lift at Peace wing made a noticeable creaky sound when closing, which could be a bit startling at first. While it didn’t affect functionality, a smoother closing would improve the overall feel. Overall, while certain areas of the hotel would benefit from refurbishment as they feel slightly dated, the charm, location and attentive service clearly reflect the hotel’s strong potential. With thoughtful upgrades and ongoing maintenance, Sofitel Sentosa could once again fully showcase its elegance and remain a standout resort destination.

We recently spent 2 weeks at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa and enjoyed every minute. The rooms were a good size and very clean, the facilities were lovely and the regular shuttle to the MRT and VivoCity Shopping Centre was particularly convenient. While all staff were always helpful and friendly, we would particularly mention concierge Daniel, pool manager Alson and Maître d Peter whose hospitality ensured our holiday was exceptional.

Relaxing, family friendly hotel. Staff were very helpful, rooms were very spacious and clean. Hotel ambience made this a wonderful experience. The highlight of this stay was the fish spa! Loved it. The pool was lovely and deep for swimming as well.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The staff were friendly and accommodating—special thanks to Peter, Julie, Albert, Penny, and Alvin for their excellent dinner service. The resort is clean and beautiful, with peacocks roaming the grounds. Our family prestige suite was spotless and very spacious. In the common area though, some furniture could use an update. Great location with ocean views from the restaurant and a convenient hotel shuttle to HarbourFront MRT and VivoCity every 15 minutes. We also took the shuttle bus to Universal Studio and Resort World. Loved the swimming pool and the unique fish pond experience. Highly recommended!

Fast Becoming My Fave

This really is becoming one of my top hotels. We were back again for around the fifth time this year, the staff absolutely make it special. Everyone makes the effort to remember you and your name and greet you all the time with such friendly and genuine interest. The parking for us is a winner as a few other hotels in town have to use Mall Parking with restricted number of in and outs allowed. Breakfast is really relaxing and the breakfast staff are the best. They all remember your preferences each morning. Meet and greet/concierge/porter team are super super kind and helpful too. Love to be amongst the nature of Sentosa, always see the peacocks and often the majestic hornbills, once endangered in Singapore and now thriving in Sentosa. There’s a very very large resident monitor who bags out around one of the internal ponds and well as very musical frogs/toads. What a blessing this time around to have a nesting peahen on my windowsill who was actually keeping her two newborn chicks warm and safe. Watched them grow each day and eventually leave their safe space to begin their adventures around the hotel grounds. I think they will be ok as I also saw a mother peahen with a young adult who still follows her around at breakfast. The rooms are comfy and quiet and we really do just love it here. The shuttle bus to Harbourfront I’m sure is popular with tourists especially during surge hours for Grab taxis or heavy rains etc. surprised how early they begin and how late they run til. We usually take private transport but used it to Vivo one evening for shopping and a quick dinner at Wine Connection. Love Le Bar as always and The Cliff. We will definitely be back in 2026 and can’t wait. Many thanks for another amazing stay. Some great Accor discounts and we like using Hotel Lux too for the hotel credit, possible upgrade and breakfast though from 2026 we will have our Platinum status back again.
