This was by far the most disappointing stay in my entire UK trip. We picked up this hotel over the others for its location and that is the only good part about this hotel. There is absolutely nothing hospitable about this place. We had taken an apartment that sleeps 4 but the pictures make it look 3x the actual size. 1)they don't make the extra bed for guests. So you will spend an entire day outside and come back to a well rated hotel to make your own bed!! 2) the handwash pump in the bathroom was broken and when we asked for it to be replaced they asked us to come to the reception and pick it up. 3) there is no housekeeping if you are staying for less than 7 days and after that also there is a separate charge for it! Wish I had not missed that in their description. 4) Breakfast was an example of extreme lack of creativity or preparation. Breads and bakery items were stale, coffee was average and frankly would strongly recommend the cafes outside for better coffee and breakfast. Also the attendent at breakfast (Andrew) was super rude! We had a really poor experience and based on this experience we cancelled our booking with Adagio in Glasgow and booked with a competing hotel brand. I would not recommend this to anyone who is traveling with family or is looking for a little comfort while on a trip.

Stayed here for 1 night while attending a gig. Super good location, well appointed apartment. Clean. Relatively quiet. That's about it. Expensive for our experience. On arrival, the main door was broken and we were told by a cleaner to go round the side and enter through the fire door. At reception there were 3 staff members there. One on computer who ignored us. One on phone. One looking through booking cards also ignored us. No-one looked up and welcomed us. We waited for a couple of minutes just standing there...not a great reception after being told to come in the fire exit. Our room smelled of cleaning fluids on entering and was stuffy. The air conditioning didn't seem to work with no instructions. We went to open the window but the lock was broken (fire hazard?) Knowing we wouldn't be able to sleep in the environment, we asked to change rooms and the second one much better, so decided to stay. The apartment was small but had everything we needed. The bed was too hard for my liking so had a poor sleep. It was a Murphy type bed. The pillows were comfy. There were lots of things that would have brought this up to 4 star review, like mirror light not working, toilet roll holder loose, shower controls difficult to move, air con??? It was OK, but I would choose somewhere else next time.

My husband and I stayed here and really loved the layout and size of the hotel room. They have laundry facilities on site and luggage storage! One of the dryers was broken while we were there but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are very very nice.

In May 2024 we had a group of about 12. Over the course of 10 days most of us stayed here in multiple rooms. This became home base for a busy family week. We appreciated the flexibility of the kitchenette and the room was well appointed and clean. We really liked that we could ask someone at the front desk for anything and were taken care of without issue. Never tried the hotel breakfast as there are so many options that are walkable. Location is really good. Close enough to everything but out of the crowds. Only complaint is the washer/dryer situation is disappointing. With a 10 day stretch we needed to wash clothes and one functioning dryer for the whole hotel did not serve us. Had to go offsite to wash & fold which cost a lot more. Would stay here again especially if the laundry is improved.

We enjoyed a lovely few days at this apartment-style hotel earlier this month. The location was ideal on the Royal Mile, closer to the Holyrood Palace end than the Edinburgh Castle end, which was perfect. Very walkable to all over Old Town and beyond. A large number of pubs, cafes, shops , and sites all nearby. The apartment itself was small but clean and inviting, and the front desk staff was super helpful. We had two adults in the bedroom and one on the living room sofa; sleeping areas were comfy, but really won't accommodate more than this number in the size apartment we chose. Nice little kitchen, although we didn't do any cooking. Breakfast offered for an additional fee; we didn't try it, but it smelled good as we walked through the lobby each morning. Would stay here again and recommend to others!
