Vary scary incident

We arrived early before check in time for two nights stay , the room was not available, but the front desk clerk Brendetta was very helpful to store our luggages. The room we had on 4th floor was facing the street was a bit noisy of street traffic and there is a school across with sport activities in the yard (even on Saturday morning ). Hotel was great until at 4 am, someone opened our room door and walked right into our room even though we thought we had the security/dead bolt on. Apparently it was another patron that were given the same room as us and they were able to walked right into our room with a room key. My wife was very upset and frightened that some stranger was able to open our door with the room key. My wife was so upset that she was not able to sleep at all after that incident. I went down to the front desk at 4:30am to report this incident, the clerk on duty named Rabab apologized and said it is not her fault with this mixed up. She also said she will notify the day shift staff of the incident. When we arrived at the front desk in the morning, the male staff apologize again and compensated us with free breakfast and a bottle of wine. I did inquire if they would waive the first night charges, but disappointedly, they did not. We did not sleep well the second night due to the first night incident and we used our luggages to block the room door. Note to self, make sure I buy a door stopper next time we stay at a hotel.

Terrible service and the hotel management has very poor ethics. Avoid at all costs and spend your money at a property that isn’t out to scam its customers. We lost over 1000 euros at this property and were treated terribly by the management and front desk staff.

To clarify, while your reservation was under a non-refundable rate, we did try to accommodate your situation by offering you a credit valid for 3 months. This was offered as a gesture of goodwill, and we only needed a medical certificate to confirm your situation. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive this before your scheduled arrival. We always aim to be fair and transparent with our guests. We appreciate your feedback and hope you might give us another chance in the future.

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. While the reception staff was friendly and the room was clean, we were extremely frustrated by the pet policy. Despite advertising as pet-friendly, we were informed upon arrival that our dog couldn't be left alone in the room for any period of time. This prevented us from visiting the monuments we had already paid to see. We believe the hotel's pet policy should be clearly stated to avoid inconveniencing guests.

We have a wonderful stay here for a few nights away. The rooms are clean, bright, modern and welcoming and the standard of room is quite high. The hotel is located very close to a metro station and relatively easy to access from the airport. The Reception staff were welcoming and we really enjoyed the quietness of the property. The TV is of an excellent standard and we stayed win a Suite and was surprised at having two TV's. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back.

Really bad experience...ended up costing over £50 more than expected...just a money making machine. Unfriendly, ignorant staff. Supposedly 4* but I've stayed in better hostels. 20 minute walk to nearest metro station and limited facilities nearby. Lack of atmosphere and an intensely strong cologne smell prevading the corridor. Badly designed showers which leaked water through door. A really hot room, ac didn't work and too noisy to open window. Bad TV reception and poor choice of English channels. Breakfast was uneventful and lacking in variety, restaurant never open and room service menu overpriced. Would never stay here again.
