Lovely staff (in special Melania at front desk).....lot of facilities nearby..... well located....walking distance from Diagonal Avenue......fair relation cost vs. offer....room with terrace are the best with view towards Tibidabo!!!
Pleasent trip to Barcelona

I was pleasantly impressed from the beginning, having a reception with smiles and openness from the reception staff. The rooms were clean and well positioned and every day the cleaning was exemplary. The breakfast is tasty and very diverse. Close to a lot of public transport stations.

Our arrival in this hotel was not the best. Even though I am a Platinum member of the Accor chain and had done the check-in online days prior to our arrival, the staff left us waiting for half an hour at the check-in desk. Only to then tell us we did not get the room we had booked. There was no welcome gift, my name was spelled wrong on the welcome card and I was referred to as Mr when my profile clearly states I am female etc. I'd say poor customer service all over, but then the nice lady at reception compensated us for the room type and quickly arranged this compensation. She was friendly and efficient. The room we had was very small but with an adequate size bathroom. Enough wardrobe space, a handy working desk, good airconditioning and much needed sound proof windows. The hotel itself is 3* at best. Breakfast is ok, not the best of products but good coffee. There is no bar, but you can get drinks at reception. The carpet in the hallways is run down with filthy marks, luckily the rooms have linoleum. The location is ok, close to metro stations and about 10mins walk from Diagonal. Given the price, and the receptionists problem solving professionalism, we would maybe have considered returning here. That is until check-out. This is when another receptionist in a very unfriendly manner 'ordered' me to pay for a bottle of water that I supposedly had in the 'bar' at reception. I did not. I did not even use my drink vouchers. Apart from the fact that she was mistaken, I do not appreciate the manner in which she spoke to me. In the end she did drop the cost (2.50) but only because I hadn't used my vouchers. We travel to Barcelona quite frequently and have always stayed elsewhere. We will continue to do so in future.

Its a good Hotel not far away from downtown, if you like to walk you need 25 minutes or you take a taxi and for few Euros you´r then there. Rooms a clean as all other Mercure Hotels I have been, Breakfast has everithing you need the time is perfect when you travel with Kids, missing in rooms is a water cooker but on reception you will get one. Great personal always friendly and try to help. I will be there again for my next travel

I'm a member of Le Club Accor Hotels. I have Silver Card. Despite this fact: 1. The hotel didn't grant my request related to quiet room allocation. I received the room on the first floor with big noise (street noise) outside the window. Similar request was granted in many hotels out of AccorHotels. In AccorHotels such situation happened at the first time !!! During check in the woman at the reception told me that my room has quiet location. SHE WAS LYING! 2. The hotel didn't grant my request concerning leaving the postcard to send it. This situation happened at the first time too. 3. During making the reservation I was using 6000 points Rewards (accordingly the rules in this scope applicable in AccorHotels) and that enabled me not to pay 120 Euro (following the rules mentioned above). I prepaid the remaining part of the amount. The hotel wasn't take points from my Accor account directly after reservation. Before check out in the hotel the problem arose, because the receptionist thought that I should pay mentioned above 120 Euro. Se showed it total lack of knowledge of the rules in force in AccorHotels. I told her that I wouldn't pay this sum, because I acted in accordance with the rules in AccorHotels and hotel's duty is to take 6000 points form my Accor account. After returning home I contacted with Customer Service Accor. Employees of this service agreed withe the hotel that hotel will "burn" these 6000 points. I received security codes for this purpose and I sended them to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel "burned" just 2000 points so far (3 weeks after returning). They didn't "burn" 4000 points. I am asking: is it so hard? Whether they can't or don't want to do it? Mayby is a form of intentional action by hotel????!!!!!!!! I suggest to you: AVOID THIS HOTEL! Mercure Barcelona Condor = lies, arrogance, disregard.
