The location of the ibis Hotel is very strategic, with a McDonald’s conveniently located just across the street, making it easy to find food at any time. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is simple and comfortable. I noticed an improvement in the dining area— the addition of orchids makes the space look more welcoming and gives it a distinct Indonesian touch. This is especially meaningful, as Anggrek Bulan is well known as Indonesia’s national flower. One thoughtful improvement in the room is the addition of a bolster. I truly appreciate this detail. Whether guests mention it or not, many travelers—myself included—often bring their own bolster when traveling, so having one provided is a wonderful and considerate touch. However, there are a few areas that could be improved: Since there is no doorman on standby, it would be helpful to replace the main door with an automatic door, especially for guests arriving with multiple or heavy luggage. The television in my room was not functioning properly and displayed a “No Signal” message. The hot water system needs attention, as the water temperature was inconsistent during use. Overall, ibis Hotel has a great location and some thoughtful touches, but addressing these technical and accessibility issues would significantly improve the guest experience.
