Great view, good sized room, good location but opposite end of town to sights and shops (45 minute walk along the sea front or £10 Uber) Rooftop terrace was disappointing and nothing like the photos. Air conditioning didn’t work unfortunately. Blackout blind was great for a good nights sleep.

We stayed at Aparthotel Adagio, Nice for four nights in March 2024. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach area with the No12 bus stop right outside and the Fabron tram stop 2mins walk away. The hotel is listed as 4 star but feels more 3 star. The apartments are clean and definitely roomy, with a large living/kitchen area leading onto a balcony with sea view, bedroom, bathroom with separate toilet but it feels very tired and in need of some updating. Cracked/loose tiles in the bathroom, loose light switches, broken floor tiles on the balcony, kitchen wall trim taped in place made the apartment feel a bit shabby. The air conditioning was ineffective, which wasn’t too much of a problem in the living area (we left balcony patio door open) but left the bedroom uncomfortably hot during the night; the beds have a paper/plastic hygiene cover on the mattresses, which added to the problem. Whilst the hotel itself was pretty quiet, the Promenade de Anglais is the main road in and out of Nice, which meant there was traffic noise virtually all through the night, a bit of a problem when you need to leave the doors open because of the heat! The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, especially Jerome, who gave us great advice on getting around and places to see etc. In summary, we enjoyed our stay but don’t think I’d choose Adagio again.

Conveniently situated midway between airport and city 200 metres from tram stop the studio was comfortable and spacious except for the loo and had everything youbneed to cook. Pity the safe in the studio and laptop in the foyer did not work.

I had an enjoyable stay last week at the Aparthotel Adagio Nice Promenade des Anglais. The room was equipped with everything I expected, and the balcony was a bonus. As always, I appreciated Adagio's kitchenettes, and I didn't at all mind the lack of services. Staff were friendly. The location was excellent for me. The front door of the hotel is on the Promenade des Anglais; the walking and cycling paths are right across the street. The hotel's back door opens onto the Avenue de la Californie, where there are shops of various kinds as well as a tram line to the Airport or the central city. The (off-season) price of my stay was quite reasonable. I can't resist adding that the hotel does show its age in various small ways. There weren't quite enough plugs for someone needing to recharge three batteries. The shower/tub bottom lacked anything to prevent slipping. The pillows were uncomfortably squishy. The toilet smelled badly of stale tobacco smoke. The dimmer on the floor lamp could not be turned to zero; I had to unplug the lamp to turn it off. The furniture was, well, plain. I realize that fixing all these minor issues might force the hotel to raise its prices to a level I'd be uncomfortable paying.

At the check-in the receptionist advised us that breakfast is included. We told him we don’ t have breakfast included but he insisted that he is sure because he checked in their system. At the check-out we’ve been forced to pay the breakfast which wasn’t our choice. We paid and talked nicely but this can happen to families which can’t afford to pay and end up in a big trouble because of that. Everything else was great. We reccomand the Hotel but be careful what the staff is advising you.
