I had a short, 1 night stay at the Mercure Centro for business. One of my colleagues had told me he enjoyed his stay there, and he was right about it. The location is very close to the train station and the tram, as well as many restaurants and other attractions in Florence. My room was very comfortable with a balcony and plenty of room. The air conditioning was not the best, but it was adequate for the time of year. Breakfast was fine, with a buffet that had enough choices. The service and attitude of the service were outstanding. They were very happy to store my luggage after I checked out, since I was transferring to another hotel for the rest of my stay. In all, very nice!

We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is close to the station, which is good if travelling by train but not as nice late at night if you want to walk around. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is nice with comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast had a good range of food. The hotel is close to the local food market and about 10 mins walk from the Duomo. I would stay here again.

From the moment we arrived at the Mercure Firenze Centro hotel till the moment we left, we received outstanding customer service from the Front Desk staff. The hotel itself is located in walking distance of the historic city centre of Firenze which makes it ideal for daily sightseeing walks. Since I am an Accor Platinus status member, we got a free upgrade to a suite for one night (which was later that day extended to our entire stay of 4 nights). Check-in was swift and correct and the staff answered all of our questions in a prompt and friendly way. The suite we were given was spacious with two separate sleeping areas and two bathrooms. I had a comfy, kingsize bed which featured a very good mattress and my travel companion had a comfortable sofa bed. The room and bathrooms were very clean and had amenities from Nuxe. We were offered free water and softdrinks everyday and the suite also had a Nespresso coffee machine. Special mention goes out to Anissa (Aniza ?) from reception who was always smiling and who catered to our every need. The Front Desk Manager (I didn't catch her name) was super friendly too. All in all we had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Firenze and I highly recommend it to other travellers !

The hotel is located centrally close to the train station which is a short walk to the duomo. However, the area feels unsafe for tourists both during the day and night because of the countless illegal immigrants, vendors, homeless, etc. out on the streets. The rooms are decently sized but lack good lighting majorly. The breakfast spread was very limited. Best to avoid taking breakfast while booking. The front desk staff was the highlight of the hotel, always smiling and more than happy to help.
