Convenient friendly comfortable

We stayed at the Ibis during our recent stay. We found the tariffs reasonable, the rooms clean, comfortable, the staff very friendly, engaged and helpful. The basic rooms are basic but acceptable while the suite rooms are very comfortable and much better from a sound point of view. It is a family friendly venue with kids under 12 permitted to stay free. They have rooms with connecting doors to allow for larger families If you depend on your hotel coffee be aware they only supply you daily with 2 tea bags, 2 coffee sachets, 2 sugar sachets and 2 creamer sachets which simply isn’t enough if you like white coffee or white tea. We just bought a litre of milk which solved the problem. I guess you could ask for more. Every room has a water filter which is excellent so you can happily fill your water bottles each day. The pool is lovely and fantastic for children with a water playground attached - you can see it on the many previous pictures posted. Breakfast is reasonable priced. There are limited cereal and fruit options but good Malaysian options and the option for fresh omelettes cooked to your liking. There is limited machine coffee. Overall it is good value for money. It is in a perfect location in little India and only 300m from the river and the heritage district. The staff are lovely. Parking is available on site. I would recommend it.

This hotel met my expectations and was well located for a short trip to Melaka. I found it rather impersonal and overly busy. Good pool

I had a very enjoyable stay at ibis Melaka. The location is excellent, central & convenient for exploring the city. As an Accor Plus Platinum member, I appreciated the warm recognition & thoughtful benefits, which added extra comfort to my stay. The staff were attentive, friendly & consistently helpful. The buffet spread was good, with tasty & well-prepared food. A special mention to Mr Ferhad, the General Manager, whose leadership & personal touch clearly shine through in the overall guest experience. A well-managed hotel that delivers great value & hospitality.

Rooms are small, but clean, the air conditioning eventually gets the room comfortable for sleeping, my bed was comfortable, and the people who work there are very nice. The hot water was also available when I needed it. On the minus side, the breakfasts are horrible from my Western perspective. The only bread is white sandwich bread – no other bread, rolls, or pastry. There is no cereal and no milk, even for coffee. The coffee comes out of an urn very slowly and sputters all over the place. it also tastes pretty bad. There is a very long line for an overcooked omelette, and no other eggs were available of any form. It can take a while for them to reload utensils into the trays for people to use. The yogurt tastes OK but the only fruit to go with It was melon. The stir-fry noodles were gluey and didn’t taste very good. Although the hotel advertises that it serves cocktails and wine and even has a token bar, they don’t serve any alcohol.

Being an Accor plus platinum member, I m so sad to finally rank a hotel as one of the worse Accor hotel in Asia Pacific. The pool is a very decent size pool with nice greens around and even have a children water features but WHY close the pool at 7 pm.when the sky is not even dark? WHAT A PITY for not taking advantage of one of the few Ibis offering swimming pool. Should allow swimmers to stay till 9pm of not 10 pm VERY BAD DECISION OF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT Pool couch is solid but stained black!!! Wont complain abt pool towels so used that it was almost white from so many washes as it used to be dark blue as long as its clean We were given an upgrade to suite room but the aircon doesn't work and glass window is so dirty and filty we cannot event see outside. All the suite room faces the street and the afternoon sun comes it strong. Aircon doesnt work and we were ask to change room. Finally We ask for a downgrade to have a room with pool view and clear glass window Soooo sad ASEP checked us in and he is nice and friendly but I have a feeling the senior management is doing little to make the place cheerful Owners should at least find some budget to paint the dark brown Furniture to pine or white color. I feel like back in the 60s and 70s where Malaysia is still very poor Our short escape to have a relaxing holiday is totally spoilt
