Not up to usual good standard

Stayed many times and always excellent but this time a catalogue of minor issues. Normally on arrival there are cake or fruit in the room but not this time, also the fridge wasn’t stocked as usual. Came home the next day and the bed was made and tea and coffee restocked but the bathroom hadn’t been touched, everything where I’d left it. I usually eat in the bar and was told no bar food available, then my electronic key wasn’t working. Asked for a glass of wine in the bar, he emptied the bottle into a measure and quickly put it in the glass, I queried it wasn’t a full measure and he disagreed, not sure what’s going on here as I haven’t seen many of the usual excellent staff

From a supplier point of view... If you get the opportunity to work at this venue then do it! Sean the F & B manager was absolutely amazing. We were hired to perform entertainment at an event on 15th March 25 for a 90th Birthday. Upon arrival, we went to reception and Sean was called and he came to greet us, he was really friendly and very approachable. Working at venues every weekend up and down the country you don't really get people this nice and professional. He couldn't do enough for us to make our event so easy and stress-free, they all were amazing with the client too he commented to me how happy he was with everything the night was 100% successful. This is just what you want when you turn up at a venue for the first time a friendly face and someone to make everything so easy for you. Thanks, Sean and all your staff, you were professional and friendly too! We hope we get to work there again... If only every venue was like this :) Thank again Jackie & Andy
