Good Stay during Lockdown

For anyone with business at the Philharmonie de Paris or anywhere in that vicinity, this hotel is your best bet. Also, being located just a few steps from the Metro you could be in the center of the city and all its sights and attractions quite easily and inexpensively in about 15 minutes. The room I had - upgraded to a suite - was huge, well appointed and thankfully with many electrical outlets available for charging various devices. Wifi was free, fast and reliable. Shower was good with decent water pressure and ample hot water. Due to covid restrictions and measures, service was limited - no daily housekeeping - but fresh towels were provided upon request and for longer stays, we were offered the option of switching to a clean room mid-week. Breakfast was brought to the room by pre-arranged time and though simple - yogurt, fruit, croissant, cheese, fruit and coffee - it was filling enough. Traveling to Paris for business during a stringent lockdown was made as seamless as possible by the friendly and extremely helpful staff.

Room was big, arrived early and the room was available so we could drop off our backs which was nice. When checking out, we were able to leave the bags behind the desk and go out for the day. This was very handy. The only disappointing bit was there was no wifi for the weekend.

a little bit out of the centre but ok for the Philarmonie and the Touthankamon expo. Therefore the hotel was full of Asian tourists and students, making a very noisy hall and disturbing the lifts. Staff is friendly and pro.

A great location, had a problem with the sofa bed so changed rooms. Second room only had 1 bathroom instead of 2 and we had to ask 3 times for the sofa bed to be made up. Beds were very firm and the pillows were memory foam, which made them very hard and uncomfortable. One of the barmen was particularly rude, even when my daughter spoke to him in French, and he served the food and drinks in quite an abrupt manner. Most of the reception staff were helpful. The location however made up for the problems, as it is so so near to the Metro for visiting central Paris, so we would possibly try it again sometime

I usually stay at mercure hotels, usually the attention is rather good although this hotel seems somehow retro to the rest I've stayed in, my only complaint was that the printer in the guest computer area wasn't working and I had to send some personal documents to an email so the guy at the front desk could print them for me, my only hope is that he deleted them afterwards since they contain sensitive information.It was the only thing that really bothered me.

Friendly staff. Already mentioned but again, no sign of improvement. Very poor wifi. Completely useless. A shame because all other services are not bad. very long wait time at the restaurant. ok food but be ready for the wait.

Easy to reach the city center through metro line 5 and rooms much more spacious compared to hotels in the city centre. Located at the Parc the La Vilette to ideal for conccerts in the area. Nice dining opportunities in the area close to the hotel.

Having just come from another Mercure in the centre of Paris I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the room door. Very big and comfortable room with big bed, armchair, dressing gown and slippers and great bathroom and facilities including an amazing view of the new Philharmonie Concert Hall. Friendly staff and no £50 deposit required on arrival. Completely the opposite to the other Mercure I'd left that morning! Only slight downside was there is no room service at this hotel. The bar and restaurant is downstairs and run separately to the hotel.

Super weak WiFi at this hotel, constantly kick you out from network

The hotel is ok with no problem except WiFi is super weak and constantly kick you out of network, so I over used my data plan accidentally (wasn't aware of it until AT&T contacted me). This hotel doesn't offer WiFi for purchase so I am stuck with bad WiFi throughout my entire stay.

Horrible Hotel: Very Dirty Room (No changes of linens during my 6 nights stay) (Very Smiley In-Room refrigerator) Facilities are old, very poor WIFI reception Staff of Reception with poor English standard (? pretended) (Remarks: I booked the room with breakfast through official homepage. However, during my check-in, I was told that breakfast was not included. I needed to waste ~ 15minutes to prove that breakfast was included in my package. However, at the time of check-out, I needed to waste another 15minutes to certify that I had already paid for the breakfast!!!)

This hotel is very well spot, near many restaurants, shops, farmacies, metro and have a group of employes well prepareted to receive guests. The breakfast is so good, with many chooses. I would like to point outalification to The Manager Charllote. She had doing a special behavior for me and my wife.It was wonderful !!!!

Not worth the money

At check-in, receptionist forgot to give us the "welcome gift" that was included in the package. At the room, floor (carpet and toilet) looked really dirty (maybe it was clean but with those long lasting spots). The weather was cold and A/C was not powerful enough to provide a comfortable temperature. Personnel (except 2 people) was not friendly at all and even aggressive ("breakfast buffet will be removed in 5 minutes!". Diner at the "Entrepot" restaurant was not good.

a little apart from center of Paris. Good access from outside of Paris. It is difficult to recommand this hotel. cause of alittle cold, air vantilation system did not work well. good price to stay one night, just sleep. this hotel can be considered. a part from center of Paris but, I can be good access to go to West coast.

Very unpleasnt experiance

Booked a two night stay with my daughter. The hotel looks run down and in need of a major refit. Not what I was expecting from a 4 star rated hotel - would hardly rate it as 3 star. I thought we had booked with breakfast included so we gave our room number and was shown to a table. After getting a bowl of cerial and a glass of apple juice the waitress came back and said that we was not down as having breakfast and said that we would be charged 30 euros! We went to the recieption desk where we were told that my booking only included breakfast on the second night! I don't know how they worked that out? After much argument they reluctantly agreed drop the 30 euro charge as long as we didn't have breakfast the next morning. So the only food I had was a mouth full of cerial and half a glass of apple juice. The staff tried to make me feel that it was my fault and I should be paying them the extra 30 euros! This is not how I expect to be treated after the very high price I had paid for this room. We did not even get the Mercure City Pass that was promised with the booking - the staff claimed to know nothing about it. Very dissapointed and this incident spoiled our whole trip. I certainly will not chose to stay with Mercure again.

The hotel it's ok but the neighbourhood is a bit scary. However is very close to a metro station and just in front of La Villete Park with a lot of cultural attractions. The room is very good and the staff very friendly. A bit pricy.

Hotel advertising photographs 20 years ago. The walls in the rooms are dirty, the equipment is destroyed, the doors in cabinets falling off. The rooms need urgent renovation. The elevators broke down several times during my stay. About six in the morning woke us up alarm sirens roar because of defects in the alarm system. At breakfast constantly missing plates and spoons. This is the worst hotel I've been to Paris.

Very expensive given the location in Paris North, Breakfast is at 18 €, magnetic room keys do not work well. I was there for a conference and many attendees chose to spend the night at Timhotel Gare du Nord, for price reason and company's policy.

Ordinary business like hotel

Family of 4 (2 kids 10 and 6 years old). Room was big enough. Breakfast was OK. The only thing was that we had a 7:00 am train and needed breakfast at 5:30 am... even though we gave them 2 days notice, they could not arrange... in fact they did not even try to arrange breakfast. They asked us to go to the local store and get milk to store in our in-room refrigerator. So, we checked out that morning WITHOUT any breakfast. Not even a glass of warm milk for the kids. They forgot that they are in the SERVICE industry. How much would it have taken them to do a "brown paper bag per person" breakfast? A banana, 1 muffin, 1 croissant, and have microwave heated milk? They need to travel to other countries in Asia / India to understand what service means. Pathetic.

May be a one off

This may be a one off experience but during my stay the safety locker got locked out and their master key didn't work. Since it happened during the night we couldn't sleep since we were worried if our Passports were still safe. After a lot of escalation they finally got their technician to come back from his home and use some device to open. It ended well but we lost the whole night sleep and effectively ruined the next day. I don't remember them offering an apology since I still remembered my code and it was a Service issue with the safe that caused the issue. They most definitely didn't offer to compensate me for the suffering and ruining my next day due to lack of sleep. A defective shower almost got my children burnt due to sudden surge of hot water.
