Relaxing escape

We spent 3 nights in a lake view room the rooms are dated but they were clean and comfortable the only issue with our room is the fridge kept freezing everything and we had to defrost it and clean it out. The location was great easy access to Bunker Bay Beach it was beautiful close to Dunsborough and plenty of wineries and breweries. We had daily drink included the only downside they had no Margaret River sparkling only Brown Brothers. Breakfast was really good plenty to choose from, eggs and omelets made to order pastries there was plenty a juicing station and tea and coffee we enjoyed breakfast I recommend sitting inside as the seagulls and crows were annoying getting on the tables. We had dinner Other Side of the Moon could not fault the food or service everything was perfect and first class we had a great night, we booked to get a table. We had a great time relaxing all the staff we interacted with were amazing extremely friendly and accommodating we will definitely be back

This property is rated as 5* but this was not my experience although it is situated ideally and has great potential. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment and no mention of this was made at check in. No explanation, advice or apologies offered. Guests were consequently kettled into the bar for breakfast and dinner, the patio area and outside space being covered with a marquee to house the breakfast buffet. The outcome was chaotic meal service and cramped conditions, with no relaxing bar spaces available. Reservation for dinner required the anticipation of essential booking ahead for limited available tables to avoid disappointment. The pool was excellent as were the grounds and the spectacular beach. Room was large, comfortable and well equipped but getting tired, the 'garden view' was a large bush adjacent to the minimal patio. I would suggest if staying a few days consider booking a 'Lake View' villa.

Don’t book this… I never had so many problems with a stay

This was a wasted holiday unfortunately. We booked a villa for our family, first one we got the ac was broken and it was water everywhere on the floor. We was told to wait and not unpack, we had maintenance to “fix it” and told us to throw a towel on the floor. After 45 min of pouring water from the ac we complained and got a new villa.. The villa we got had a broken ac, so we waited for maintenance AGAIN. After 40 (!!!!) min they came and managed to fix it. The porter (which was really nice) said that this is common that they have problems with the ac…. So from checking in to actually being able to unpack was 3 hours. Was not a pleasant experience with a 9 month old baby, since it was hot and I couldn’t start making any food. Dishwasher in the new villa was broken, plates that came with didn’t even fit the dishwasher so you have to hand wash them. We booked for 5 people and it was only 4 towels. It was 3 knifes & forks, no cutting board, 2 yoghurt bowls etc. Not made for staying 5 people. It was spider web inside, villa wasn’t clean, play doo in the carpet and fridge wasn’t getting cold. We spoke to the reception several times (since the phone in the villa didn’t work) & all we was offered was 15% discount for the first night and a voucher for 30 dollar that would let even be a meal for one person. The whole stay so far has been packing and fixing things, haven’t even seen the pool or the ocean. DONT BOOK THIS if you want a holiday in this area. We have definitely wasted ours…..

Less staff phones always unanswered No response from housekeeping reception restaurant as they are understaff When we booked restaurant was undergoing renovations and you were made to sit in boxes conference hall not with the lovely ocean view Very bad 5 star experience not going back again

It's actually with great sadness I write this review; I have tried in vain to sort our issues out with the resort without writing a negative review, but I do not want to see any other couple go through what we went through with this resort. The stress and anguish they caused along our journey with them was disturbing. I am so glad it is finally over. Please if you are considering Pullman Bunker Bay for your wedding go and have a look at some of the other beautiful places on offer. This place was one of the worst experiences of hospitality I have ever experienced. Originally, we were captivated by the location of the resort, and we were promised a wonderful 5 Star service by the then wedding coordinator. We could not have got it more wrong. Three wedding coordinators later (this says a lot) and our wedding went ahead with no wedding coordinator, zero attention to detail and key aspects of our day were missed in spite of clear and dumbed down communication to help us facilitate them, although it should be the other way around. Emails were unread and unanswered. Communication was often unprofessional and chaotic. Things were promised and not delivered. Every step of the way they would mess up and try to blame someone else. Only for the amazing vendor teams we had organized and the beautiful waitstaff at the resort who pulled our wedding together. I raised some issues post wedding with the General Manager, but no accountability or apology was offered whatsoever. We are still 2 weeks later trying to seek clarification from the resort about missing receipts and bills for items we don't even know what we were charged for and it was not marked on the ridiculous excuse for an invoice. The problem with this place was evident to see, it lies solely with their management team they are really unbelievable and not in a good way. All I really want is to warn any other couple this is not the venue for you. I find it hard to believe we are the only couple who have suffered from this with Pullman, and I honestly sympathize with anyone who had a similar experience and caution those who are in the process of planning with them.
