I had such an amazing time at the Pullman Sea Temple in Palm Cove, so naturally, I was really looking forward to my stay in Port Douglas. Check-in process was smooth. The room felt a bit too basic and compact for a 5-star resort. It also seemed like the room hadn't been properly cleaned, as my feet were getting dusty and grimy just from walking around barefoot. But that wasn't even the worst part. When we turned down the bed that night, we found blood on the sheets and doona! We called reception, and although they apologised and sent someone to take photos and speak to their supervisor, we ended up having to change the bedding ourselves because there was no housekeeping staff available. The resort's upkeep seemed to be lacking – dead branches and leaves were littered all over the grounds, the pool didn't look clean, and the spa was out of order for a significant portion of our stay. Housekeeping service was inconsistent – sometimes they'd forget to leave essentials like hand towels or bath mats and our room service was missed one day. We contacted reception at 3pm to enquire only to be told that housekeeping had gone home. The equal sweetener in the cupboard was so old that it was brown.There was a serious lack of communication about restaurant closures and changes in breakfast times. We only learnt of the change in Breakfast time when we were turned away at 10am. The restaurant menu was very limited although all the meals bar our last night were exceptional. The only bright spots were the exceptional service from the restaurant and pool bar staff. Their attentiveness and friendliness really stood out. Stand outs were Daniella, Vincent and Andrea. All in all, this resort fell short of my expectations, and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. I believe there's room for improvement, especially in terms of staff training and maintaining cleanliness standards . As someone paying top dollar for a 5-star experience, these oversights were frustrating, to say the least. We had a great experience at the hotel. Amazing food Dinned at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and really enjoyed it Kids like the lagoon pool. and service. Rooms are clean and pool is fantastic. We love everything about this place We will definitely come back

Great Rooms, Great Pool access. Stunning gardens. Great beach access. Pool needs cleaning, staining in many areas. Staff need a bit of a 'boost' too many complaints coming at them. Maintenance is poor. Management not interested in fixing problems. (Wi-Fi issues and 4G issues are a one phone call fix) No Wi-Fi in rooms. Wi-Fi non-existent in 90% of the hotel. No 4G coverage in 90% of hotel. Room smells damp on arrival - no ventilation. TV's not connected to internet. No Netflix, No Apps. If it wasn't for the stunning original design by the architects and landscape architects no one would bother going. Worst 5 star experience possible.

Generally we loved the pool and the space in our two bed apartment but the housekeeping service was terrible. We had to ask for housekeeping to come the first day and although they did after that, they kept taking our towels (pool and beach) and every day after that I had to call and ask for towels again. It was bizarre. They would leave hand towels and a small wash towel and nothing else. When I’d call and ask, they would say, “yes, lovely we’ll bring some now”. As if it was normal. So strange! On the third day I explained it had happened every day except the first and she didn’t really respond to that or apologise. Is there a towel shortage?! That was all really frustrating especially when you have three kids cold from the pool, waiting for showers! Otherwise a nice place with well designed apartments and slightly dated furniture. Breakfast was nice, not great.

5 girlfriends celebrated our upcoming 60th birthdays and stayed a week at this amazing resort in a 3 bedroom penthouse with private rooftop spa. The resort was amazing, we loved the pool and the staff were awesome. We visited the restaurant twice and were looked after like rockstars, the food and cocktails were delicious. We were lucky enough to attend the Resort's Fire Temple event on Saturday night and we had a wonderful night and once again were treated like rockstars due to our upcoming 60ths. We were only 10 minutes by taxi $30)/shuttle ($8ea) to Port Douglas and only short wait times. You can walk along the beach to Port Douglas in about an hour and we walked to the local pub in about 15 minutes. Cannot fault the resort staff and the awesome accommodation.
