The hotel is well situated for access to metro, central station and with a 20 minute walk you can access Hamburgs main attractions. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was adequate for me, but could be seen as quite basic in terms of facilities, no kettle/tea/coffee, etc, compared to the room cost. The bed was comfortable and noise levels OK. Breakfast was good but busy. There is a handy outdoor seating area at the back of the hotel.

I went to the reception to make a reservation for my family for one night for the next month. The receptionist said "hmmm its very expensive"... strange... usualy sellers want to sell, not the opposite. Then I said I want to proceed with the booking anyway and asked for the cancelation policy. The answer was: until 24h before its free to cancel". I gave all the details and suddenly she said "ohh I'm sorry but in fact you have to pay full ticket now" no reason was presented. It was stated something 5 minutes earlier. It appears to me that the receptionist did everything within reach to avoid the booking. Unpolity and unclear. Not recommended.
