Nice short stay in comfortable hotel Liked · Check in was quick and friendly. 'Sam', the manager was excellent. He was very helpful inhaling us organise many aspects of our stay. To my shame I do not speak Chinese and Sam provided us with real help in communication with the services we needed to access. Our son is working in China (in Humen) and he was able to help us too. The hotel was quite quiet - a result of the New Year celebrations. As we were due to fly from Shenzhen we organised a room for our son. This was not a problem and Sam helped us organise this to smooth the ability to get transfer to the airport. We had breakfast on the last day - not really the best, but again likely to be due to the timing of the New Year. Guessing there's not a lot in Humen unless you have a connection (like we did) who knows the city. We were lucky as our son has been working there since August 2019. Disliked · Room very warm - air conditioning didn't seem to work very well. Breakfast could have been better - but likely to have been simply due to the New Year period. Breakfast was a set menu, rather than buffet style.

Room temperature is higher than lobby and lift. Every time i need to request a fan even on the winter. I have been telling and complain to the hotel management. Nothing have been done. Breakfast is getting worst. Now a day the items get less and less. Every time and every day are the same foods, over the year.

Basically I arrive the hotel straight from HK ferry to.shekuo and car ride Reach hotel hungry looking for food, restaurant cant be bother to entertain 2 of us because they are closing ... 2 orders put into 1 plate for us to share .... Room is fine ... Restaurant and room service not good seriously

Leisure Two days in Humen

Hotel location is fine amid the centre of the town with easy access to most attractions. Lobby is good, room floor corridors are generally acceptable but not grand. Room cleanliness is about average but can be better. Pillows are terrible of which the pillow cases look so worn out and soiled as if never get changed for new customers. Hotel front staff are mainly mono-lingual in Putonghua, worse is they don't seem to know about the commuting logistics on how to get around in a small town called Humen. Basically helpless if you intend to seek directional advice. The welcome "Fruit" plate and welcome drink for Accor members are inarguably cheap -look presented more like a joke!!

I stayed in Grand Mercure whenever I visited my company's facility in Humen. Majorly because the overall infrastructure and experience was great and has international internet access in the rooms. I surprisingly found out that I can no longer log into non-china websites in my last stays and really frustrated me a lot.

Facility is so so. Wifi is very weak. The point I still consider to this hotel is the royalty membership that I can accumulate the points. I think Wifi connection is the first that your hotel needs to fix. The internet connection is very very slow during the night. If it is continue, I will switch the hotel and I will not stay in Humen hotel anymore if I find better choice.

The room air conditioning was not cold at all the room so humid and hot we have to checked out one day earlier because too hot to sleep and no complimentary tea or coffee in the room and the fridge was locked. I won’t stay again

Rooms are good quality, comfortable and clean. The quality and variety of the Breakfast buffet is poor and not at the level you normally expect from a Grand Mercure.

This is our first stay in this Hotel. Our experience on Grand Mercure has been always positive. But this hotel is really poor. Very small room not clean 100%. Breakfast similar to One star Ostel with dirty coffee machine, only chinese cold food. We had the bad chance to have also a dinner and it was noisy, dirty, cold and horrible taste. I cannot describe the servce which is in line with other features. Englis language is absolutely not applied to any level of people. NEVER AGIAN!

Grand Mercure Hotel Humen is a nice hotel to stay whenever you find yourself in Humen. The staff are nice and courteous, not to mention very efficient in their work. The hotel itself is nice also. The room I stayed in was ezquisite.

There is no wifi in room #1110 during the duration of this stay, and at the lobby the following day due to systems maintenance according to the front lobby officer. This is a business trip and I could not even check my emails that my overseas clients are very upset about me not replying them.

It is my second visit and everything is great as it has been ie. room type, location, price, service mind, etc. But the cons (for your improvement) are smoking in the Lift/lobby!!, breakfast has no variety, too much carbohydrate, and with small portion.
