Accor and other motel sites post this as a 4 star hotel. I don't think so! The following is purely my opinion, based on my recent 5 night stay. I encourage you to view the Google reviews before booking a stay at this hotel. After my first two days I was transferred to my THIRD room, (114 then 524, then 520) the TV's didn't work, bed side lamp didn't work, rooms not fully serviced and cleaned, furniture stained, no glasses in the room, tea and coffee all but empty. We went to reception and asked for some glasses and was told they'd be sent over shortly.... we're still waiting for them! The hotel is dirty, run down, rubbish on the hallway carpets.... I don't think it's seen a lick of paint since it was built. As I was talking to recption on my checkout another man came and said his tv wasn't working and two mins later a woman checked out claiming her bathroom was riddled with ants..... Take a few minutes as I did (post stay) to checkout Google reviews.... they range from blood stained mattresses, half eaten food left in the fridge, mouldy socks under the bed, mould in the bathrooms etc. It's interesting to see the managers reply to the adverse reviews..... it's almost like he cuts and pastes the same answer..... I'll let my housekeeping manager know..... but it seems like nothing changes. And I only went back about 12m..... The rooms apparently are only serviced every three days, I believe. Do yourself a favour, stay at Abode or Garden City motel, only a few hundred metres away around the corner, in my case I'm paying $25 extra a night but let me tell you.... worth every penny. You'll notice that I have only given this place 1 star..... that's purely based on the fact that I can't give it less. Let's not be totally negative.... on the plus side. The showers are great, as is the wifi. Erin at reception tried her little heart out to make it right for us and in my opinion she, should be running the place.

I will personally follow up with our housekeeping department to address these issues and ensure that they are resolved. Regarding the cleanliness and maintenance concerns you mentioned, including the hallway carpets and overall condition of the rooms, I am very sorry that you felt the hotel was run-down. We take pride in the appearance of our property, and I will make sure that the necessary improvements are made to address these concerns, including regular checks to ensure rooms are properly stocked and cleaned. My experience is reflected in multiple reveiews over the last 12 months, none of which the hotel management seems interested in addressing. This is a two start motel with very little regrad for providing service and facilties of any quality. The best thing about it was the free WIfi was fast and plentiful which is good because UI had to stream entertainment due to so few free to air station being available on the SD TV. See problems listed below: • Room had not been properly service prior to our arrival – no soap and very little coffee, milk and sugar • TV was Standard Definition with only free to air channels meaning we had very little to choose from. • Pillows were the worst I have ever had on a bed anywhere • Breakfast day1 – no eggs available due to issue with supplier • Dinner day 1 – was initially told that my Accor membership only entitled me to 30% discount rather that 2 for 1 – this was checked and corrected after I challenged that position. Food was just OK but country pub rather than restaurant standard – In restaurants they tend to set the tables rather than telling you to collect your cutlery on the way through to your table. • As mentioned in earlier reviews the curtains do not block out light

Een 1 is nog te veel voor dit hotel! Het slechtste tot nu toe tijdens onze rondreis, schandalig! Het personeel is totaal ongeïnteresseerd en houdt nergens rekening mee! We kregen een familiekamer (wij waren samen) terwijl er later een schoolbus met kinderen bij ons op de gang werden gedropt! De kamers zijn zeer gehorig. Na een hele dag lopen door Canberra hadden we geen zin meer op zoek te gaan naar een restaurant dus besloten het restaurant te proberen... dat hadden we beter niet kunnen doen! De kok kan beter een ander beroep gaan zoeken en het bedienend personeel ook! Nog nooit zoiets slechts meegemaakt!

Het motel ligt in de voorsteden van Canberra, en wordt goed bezocht. Het is wat rommelig en 's avonds tamelijk lawaaiig. Het internet werkt echter prima! Er is een restaurant bij dat goede maaltijden voor een redelijke prijs biedt. Je moet wel tevoren reserveren.

Dit is werkelijk een heel goed Motel! Balie personeel erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk! De kamers zijn erg ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien! We hebben al heel wat hotels en motels gehad tijdens onze reis door Austrailie, maar in zo'n heerlijk bed hebben we tot nu toe niet gelegen! Zwembad aanwezig en smorgens een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt, goed verzorgd! Canberra is in 10 minuten met de auto aan te rijden.
