Almost all guests at Ayers Rock Resort arrive and conversely depart at approximately the same time, due to the scheduling of commercial airlines. During times of high occupancy, as we are currently experiencing, it is not always possible to offer an earlier than advertised check-in. We appreciate your understanding of this challenge and will continue to look for ways to better support our guests during these periods. We are pleased you enjoyed the view from your Deluxe Rock View Room, though it’s clear the condition of the room did not reflect the level of comfort you anticipated. Feedback such as yours helps us prioritise areas requiring attention. We also regret that our pre-arrival communication felt excessive. These emails are intended to help guests plan their stay and learn about the range of experiences available in the region, and we are sorry that it came across as pressure to purchase. Your comments will assist us in reviewing both the frequency and tone of our communications. Regarding the Hop On Hop Off service, this is operated independently of Voyages. They require guests to pre-book seats on specific services due to limited seating and national park access requirements. Uluru is approximately 24 km from Ayers Rock Resort, where we understand the view is breathtaking, and we appreciate your comments. During the extreme hot summer and spring months, certain types of maintenance work may not be ideal. Additionally, during periods of high occupancy and early morning tour schedules, can cause noise, and we regret this happened during your stay. While moving rooms for one night may have been inconvenient, we hope our offer demonstrated our commitment to your comfort, and we appreciate your understanding that alternative room options can be limited during the high season. Given our remote location, Wi-Fi and other services can sometimes be impacted, but please rest assured that we are working diligently to improve the reliability of our facilities. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed exploring Uluru and learning about the Anangu culture, and that aspects of your stay such as the room size, the friendly resident gecko, and our bar and breakfast were enjoyable. Please also be assured that we have addressed your feedback with our on-site operations teams and provided additional training. We apologise for the condition of the bathroom and any inconvenience caused. Your comments regarding the room and facilities have been noted. The discolouration you observed is indeed caused by the high mineral content in the local water supply, which is a common occurrence in remote areas. We are glad the Wi-Fi eventually worked; given our remote location, these services can sometimes be impacted.
