This hotel is just near the main train Hauptbahnhof station and is easily accessible from Vienna airport by train. The train leaves to/from airport and arrives in 15 minutes and the fare is around 4 euros per adult. The surrounding area of the hotel is quiet and little noise was penetrating the windows. Novotel is just next to 3 star Ibis hotel of the same Accor chain, where we have stayed in previously and enjoyed it too. However, 4 star Novotel was more affordable for our accommodation this time. The online non-refundable rate even went down closer to the booking date, so it is advisable to monitor the prices before direct booking. This time we booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids for 2 nights. Arrived very early and thanks to the courtesy and professionalism of receptionist Vojtech we were given our room without extra costs. Even then the check-in took just a couple of minutes! The upper floors above 12 had somewhat better views, but you don't really stay in rooms, since you walk to Belvedere just a few blocks away or get to the metro in 2 minutes to reach the center of Vienna in a couple of minutes or depart elsewhere by train. Our family room was nice and beds were comfortable. The sofa bed for kids was large enough too. Breakfasts were quite good. Variety of food and not crowded space were enjoyable. There are also several nice options to eat just nearby - inside Hauptbahnhof, where one can also find several stores of garments and Interspar food. Overall, it is a nice and modern hotel worth visiting and I would like to express my gratitude again to professional staff who are the strength of this Hotel.

House keeping-door was not closed

Disappointed with the house keeping for not closing the room door after cleaning my room till our return at night. This is a serious issue and should not have happened. Glad nothing was missing from my room as our luggage was closed and locked when we left our room. The management did not reply to my feedback or apologies after I left a review.

Next to station, well located. Booked for family room , they told me the sofa bed is for kids, smaller then single bed. They give me twins room which is a single bad. Second day I told them I’m gonna see how big the sofa bed, they showed me is a lot bigger than single bed. Finally moved to family room. Not sure what game they play…
