Location-wise, the hotel is not in the Central Area with the mall but it is not far either. Best part is the wholesaler market for dried food just around the corner. It is debatable whether it is the best wholesaler market but its proximity was definitely a plus for some last minute shopping! The hotel is actually surrounded by many wholesalers! Right outside the hotel there is a night market for food and a market for fruits. Service - nested within the hotel is a massage center where I did 2 massages before and after my tour. My masseur was good and the price is reasonable. But most importantly I am would like to give praise to Chris, the manager. On the day of departure, I realised left my spectacles at the massage Center while on the way to airport. My driver helped me to connect with the hotel and a search was conducted to check if the specs was in my room, before I recalled that it was as in the massage room. The staff found it and we tried to get a cab to send it to me at the airport but no cab was available at that point. In the end it was sent to me via speed post to my hotel in Beijing where I would spend some time. The fact that it was settled almost immediately once we realised that the cab option is more expensive and we couldn’t get one, alleviated my anxiety quickly. Although it was meant to be delivered in two days’ time, I got it the very next day in Beijing at a very low cost!

Don't be fooled by the grand entrance. The rooms are old and dated. I stayed on the 8th floor with my tour group. The shower tub does not drain well and floods. Many of my friends also experienced the same problem. I made sure to turn off shower when lathering soap and shampoo and turning it back on to rinse off. The tub still floods and the water drains very slowly. It doesn't drain very well. And it also leaks out onto the floor from a corner of the tub. The sink does not drain water very well too. Other than that, it is an ok room.

No window/ stinky bathroom/ disgusting

This hotel is an embarrassment to the Accor brand. The window in the room is boarded up. How can a room in a five star hotel not even have a window? I called to complain and they said many rooms were like this. And the smell in the room. The bathroom absolutely stinks and emanates throughout the whole room. Hard to sleep it was so disgusting. I'm only here one night so didn't ask to switch rooms. Stay away from this hotel. I can't believe how bad it was

Inconvenient for families

I stayed two separate nights within a week. Upon entry, the hotel looks very beautiful and has a 5 star decoration above the lobby. However, it's a rather inconvenience hotel for families: - only one person spoke English, so it was difficult to communicate - the hotel restaurant only has Chinese menus with no pictures and the staff had difficulties understanding my mim'ed broken Chinese - room service only starts at 11 p.m.... so how can you feed your children and put them to bed at 8:00 p.m.? - the room service menu is limited, anyhow - the shower has no holder for the shower head, so you have to hold the water and lather - there was construction happening in the room below mine, so I was hearing hammering throughout the night - we had to get a NAT test every single time we entered the hotel. resulting in us getting two NAT tests in one day. (LOL)

Stayed 14 nights in this property and have to say that the service level is highly commendable. Manager Abdullah from breakfast lounge is very attentive and takes care of us very well, and not forgetting other managers. Only setback, despite requesting and insisting on NON SMOKING rooms/floor, there were still smokers, I believed they were Chinese guests, secretly or rather, blatantly smoking in their NON SMOKING floors. Ventilation is bad as the smoke flows through into our rooms. Speedy service recovery by the hotel team include placing air ioniser in our room. For one to stay 14 nights, with our daughter being sensitive to cigarette smoke, it was one memorable stay. Hotel management should enforce and be stricter with such rules. As an international chain group, every guest should be treated equal and non smokers shouldn't be penalised, and bear the brunt and suffer as a result of other insensitive and uncultured travellers. Despite these, this property is highly recommended. Good location with wholesale centre within walking distance and many local delights nearby. We will be back again end 2020 again to fulfil another 14 nights stay and hopefully, we will have cleaner air in our room.
