Der Check-in für das Hotel Mercure French Village findet bereits im Tal statt. Dort wurden wir freundlich empfangen, gut beraten und klar durch den Ablauf gelotst. Anschließend ging es mit der Gondel hinauf auf den Berg – eine lange, sehr schöne Fahrt mit tollen Ausblicken. Besonders für die Kinder war die Gondelfahrt ein echtes Highlight, da man die Landschaft in Ruhe genießen kann. Oben angekommen, war es zunächst recht trubelig. Es herrschte viel Betrieb, das Klima war deutlich kühler und auch feuchter als im Tal. Wir kamen gegen 16:30 Uhr an, was eine etwas unruhige Zeit ist: Viele Tagesgäste waren bereits auf dem Weg nach unten, gleichzeitig herrschte noch reger Betrieb, was insgesamt für viel Bewegung und Trubel sorgte. Untergebracht waren wir in einer Suite im Hotel Nizza, Zimmer 5326, laut Plan eines der größten Zimmer. Die Raumaufteilung war gut und großzügig, allerdings ist die Einrichtung sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sauberkeit war leider nur mittelmäßig – den ein oder anderen Müll mussten wir selbst entsorgen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch, dass es im Zimmer zwar recht kühl war, aber eine zusätzliche Heizung zur Verfügung stand, was wir als sehr angenehm empfanden. Das Drumherum im French Village hat uns persönlich nicht besonders angesprochen. Die Auswahl an Essensmöglichkeiten am Abend war eher begrenzt, vor allem für Vegetarier. Es wird viel mit Schweinefleisch gearbeitet, sodass fleischlose Alternativen rar sind. Ein klarer Pluspunkt ist jedoch das exklusive Gondelangebot am frühen Morgen: Ab 6 Uhr fahren die ersten Gondeln zur Golden Bridge. Um 6:00, 6:30 und 7:00 Uhr dürfen ausschließlich Hotelgäste für jeweils fünf Minuten die Gondeln nutzen. Danach pausiert der Betrieb wieder bis zum nächsten Zeitfenster. Externe Gäste können erst später am Tag hochfahren. Dadurch lassen sich die großen Menschenmengen sehr gut vermeiden – ein großer Vorteil und absolut empfehlenswert. Das Frühstück war überraschend gut und deutlich besser als erwartet, mit einer soliden Auswahl. Fazit: Das French Village ist eine gute Adresse für Reisende, die Action, Unterhaltung und ein besonderes Erlebnis suchen. Kulturell bietet es jedoch wenig Tiefe. Für eine Nacht ist der Aufenthalt definitiv machbar und ausreichend – allein für den Besuch der Golden Bridge hat es sich für uns gelohnt.

La mesera Miyeon del restaurante Le'Table, nos atendió muy muy bien. Restaurante muy muy bueno, buena comida. Y servicio exclente casi lo único con buen servicio en el parque. Adicionalmente fuimos atendudos por Mira qien ayudó con la mesa e hicier9n de nuestra experiencia la mejor del parque.
