Stayed here during the Rugby World Cup. The decor was dated and could benefit from an upgrade however it was clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendky. Super location. Convenient for the Metro and walking distance to the old harbour. If you want luxury then this isn’t for you. If you just want a “base” for your visit it’s just the job!

Nice hotel. Excellent location, because it is 2 minutes from the station. The room was quite spacious, with a shower and a soft bed, which was what we needed. Very kind staff. When we visit Marseille again for short stay, it will be our choice again

The hotel is reminiscent of some sort of eastern block hotel in the 1950’s Brown carpet tiles, artex walls, foam mattresses - and topped off with a view of the rail lines of central station. There is a key to your door so if more than one of you you’re stuffed. The AC works but it smells. Location is close to the train so ok, but also in a very undesirable spot It is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are wonderful however and do their best given the state of the place. If you are after a cheap place then ok but bear in mind it’s appalling.

We had a room for one night during our trip in Southern France. The room was booked via Booking.com but suddenly cancelled due to a system error of the 'hotel'. I managed to rebook it after 20min call with the same price and conditions but when we arrived they first asked a significantly higher amount for the night. Cot was not delivered to the room even though it was reserved via booking and via phone call. The receptionist just blamed me for everything. Room smelled like cigarettes. Receptionist's response to the smell was just apathetic "well, that's unfortunate'. The deposit amount was locked for three weeks post leaving the 'hotel' and I needed to call the bank the get it back.

Only for a short stay, if you travel by train

Despite other reviews, I have to note that staff was helpful (even in English, as I don't speak French). The apartment was spacious and has everything you might need for a short stay. It's located across the train station, however for a newcomer it's not that easy to reach it, you need to walk at least 10 minutes (if you're lucky and don't take a wrong turn). The apartment seemed clean at first sight, however there was dust in many places and the air-condition had a cigarette odor. Cleanliness is not the hotel's strong suit, as they tell you than they only clean the room after a week's stay (if you manage to stay there that long), they give you clean towels at an extra cost and they expect you to take down the garbage yourself (!). Combine this with the area's (next to the train station) lack of cleanliness and you get the picture. The bed was terrible, I had asked for a double bed and they stuck two single beds together.....Pillows were too soft. Breakfast was mediocre, with very few and low quality choices, the breakfast room was too small. In conclusion, the price I paid was way too much for what it had to offer. Hopefully, I only had to stay there for one night.
