This is tucked away in a side street that runs parallel to the Marseille wharf area but well-located. It is a little tired and has a construction site next door however the Accor group has endeavoured to spruce it up. Initially we had a room looking away from the wharf area and decided to upgrade for 50e to a dock view room. It was worth it as you could see all the movement and change of mood across the harbour. The other rooms would be darker and much less interesting. Room was comfortable and well=appointed. Reception staff were very helpful. Great little bar on first floor overlooking wharf area. Breakfast seemed expensive, full buffet style, when much cheaper patisserie cafe breakfasts are available nearby.

Nice hotel and friendly staff Great position Stayed pre cruise for 2 nights so arranged by travel company Upstairs bar but a bit soulless Room we had was smallish and a bit tardy ,nice size bathroom BUT🙁the view Told this is classic room which can cost hundreds 🙁🤔

We stayed 8 nights at the Grand Hotel - they have a beautiful staircase in the lobby.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We spent a couple of evenings in the ground-floor lounge enjoying the piano and drinks, and the waiters were efficient and polite. The one thing I'd like to point out is that the buffet breakfast staff need to prioritize clearing plates from guests' tables, over setting up new tablecloths once guests have left (unless it's hectic with many people arriving at once, of course). I found we were left with our empty plates, on some mornings, which I ended up moving to a nearby unused table because we had no room for our dishes of cereal, while a staff member nearby focused only on setting up empty tables when there were already plenty of them ready for new people to arrive. As well, a young waitress brought me the wrong hot breakfast - I'd asked for scrambled eggs, smoked salmon on rye, and ended up with ham and poached egg. I pointed out the mistake - very nicely - and said I'd eat it anyway. (Because I didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen.) But for our remaining breakfasts, she avoided eye contact and ignored us, which meant we needed to wait awhile until someone else came to take our orders. She is young, needs to just grow up, I guess. Aside from this, I'd like to give a shout out to the wonderful concierge, Mr Walid M., who is knowledgeable and personable, and overall our experience was pleasant.

The staff of the Hotel is very nice and the location is fantastic. Breakfast is nice too. However I was in room 514 with a huge noise all night from some air conditioning machine on the roof. It was really hard to sleep. When I complained they were nice but did nothing about it.

Fantastic location,exemplary staff who are effecient professional and so helpful. We opted for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid street noise so didn't avail of the port view. Breakfast and the bar both look out to port so contact with that. No noise at night despite fantastic central location, once windows closed - silence. 1 min walk to Metro and bus to St Charles Station for airport commute etc. beds and inevitable perfect.We will return and highly recommend 👌
