The hotel is very old, the common areas a tired and smell musty. I likened the hotel to a dungeon when I described it to friends. The outside paint is peeling, there was mould/dirt on thr awnings outside the window. I was great full for thr move from thr accessible room (which i accidentally booked). That room was very dark and depressing. If I hadn't been moved i was going to move hotels.

Room was clean and comfortable. I found the decor dark but this is personal taste. What spoiled my stay was the noise at night from the street outside. There was music coming from a nearby location until 1am (on a Monday night) as well as some shouting etc from the street. The bin lorries start very early so this was another noise disturbance before my alarm. Obviously the noise was from outwith the hotel but this would deter me staying again or recommending.

Sadly won't be back. Beds too hard and very noisy pipes in rooms 413 and 513.
