Stayed on a sparkling escape deal which was good value for money. Classic room was spacious and comfortable although carpet was worn in places and the chairs were a bit stained. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. However we ate twice in the restaurant and were very disappointed. The first night I had the pork loin steak with hassleback potatoes, red cabbage and broccoli. The red cabbage was very nice but the potatoes were overcooked and soggy and it was all pretty tasteless. My husband has the pie which was OK. We decided to try again this evening, I had the katsu curry which came with rice and pickled red cabbage (strange?) The rice was seriously overcooked, I suspect boil in the bag? The chicken burger thingy was dry and overcooked and the curry sauce tasted as if it was out of a jar. My husband had the mushroom and truffle linguine which he said was OK but nothing special, the prices charged are about what you would expect from a Mercure hotel but the quality of the food is sadly lacking. Would not stay here again.

Booked for afternoon tea as my husband had recovered a voucher. Emailed to enquire about times and dealt with Vicky the events executive, who was helpful and organised the booking, took details of our voucher and asked about allergies When we arrived, we were seated and our name taken. The waitress then came back 5 minutes later to say no record of our booking (no idea why after several emails to book) but the chef would make it up and it would take about 10 minutes Just over 45 minutes after we were seated it arrived. Sandwiches nice, usual filings of egg, cheese, ham and tuna - nothing overly special. Nice little small scone. Cakes very disappointing - 3 tarts with different filing all with very thick sodgy pastry and 1 tiny coffee sponge. Have had several afternoon teas at different places with lovely selection of cakes, so this was quite a let down. Only good things - young girl waitress was lovely, very polite, very nice setting and grounds and we didn't have to pay as had a voucher!

L'hotel si trova in una posizione fantastica, circondato da prati verdi e alberi. La struttura è molto ben tenuta, le camere sono spaziose anche se c'e' legno ovunque e appena ci si muove scricchiola. Non 'c'e l'ascensore per cui si va con le scale fino al terzo piano che più essere un disagio con i bagagli. Molto buona la colazione

Una location bellissima, restaurata recentemente (il bar e la zona pranzo sono state inaugurate nel 2016) con uno stile contemporaneo inglese che a me piace molto, soprattutto la zona ristorante e la zona relax che affaccia su un patio con splendida vista del parco sono stupende. Camere spaziose con letti molto comodi. Bagno old style, con lo sciacquone un po' difficile da operare, nel complesso pulite a parte le finestre. Non c'è aria condizionata, ma qui nn credo serva e manca il frigorifero, le stanze privilege hanno la Nespresso. Al ristorante abbiamo mangiato bene e la colazione è fantastica! Parcheggio gratuito. Manca l'ascensore e se siete al terzo o quarto piano la salita è impegnativa! L'hotel è immerso nel verde e si sente in lontananza l'autostrada. Ottima base per visitare il Gloucestershire.

Situato nella bellissima campagna del Gloucestershire, l'hotel (piacevolmente rinnovato dall'anno scorso) si presenta molto bene, con un'atmosfera luminosa e al tempo stesso calda. Il personale alla reception si è sempre mostrato sorridente e disponibile, rispondendo immediatamente alle esigenze dell'ospite. La camera era dignitosa, pulita e silenziosa (a parte un rumore verso le 6:30/7 che nn ho capito cosa fosse). Certo la tipica moquette inglese ha sempre qualche macchia, ma mi soffermerei di più sul bagno: molto essenziale per un 4 stelle. Per esempio il kit di cortesia era costituito da appena un bagnoschiuma e uno shampoo. E soprattutto niente scopino del WC che si trova anche nei B&B!! Insomma, un po' poco Molto buono il cibo, dalla colazione agli altri pasti. Con varietà e assortimento. Commento per gli italiani: insalate e verdure sono scondite, quindi regolatevi! Il personale di sala era composto da giovani, per lo più stranieri, probabilmente appena usciti dalla scuola alberghiera che non sempre capivano le richieste, ma ce la mettevano tutta. Bene anche l'organizzazione per la conferenza. Peccato che l'ultimo giorno, sebbene arrivati 45 minuti prima per chiedere di poter mangiare un po' velocemente dato che avevamo un volo, ci è stato risposto di sì e poi che purtroppo dovevano fare uscire tutti i piatti insieme. Morale: abbiamo dovuto andarcene senza mangiare (ma avendo pagato!) La prossima volta un po' di flessibilità non guasterebbe.
