We had afternoon tea at Mercure in Tonbridge. The staff were exceptional, in particular HOLLY who was friendly, welcoming and attentive. She actually made our experience there most enjoyable. The Tea was very nice and lots of it and tge surroundings very pleasant.

Average 3 star hotel, not 4. First impression was the carpet in the communal hallways were very dirty. The room is cleaned to a good enough standard but not spotless (dusty lamps etc). Staff polite, solved a problem I had quickly. Rooms and building very dated. Bed was large and comfortable, had a good night sleep apart from you can hear everything in the corridors. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room is a nice touch. Cannot comment on the bar/restaurant area, didn’t use as they had a large Christmas party happening. Parking free onsite was easy. I would stay again if I just need a bed for the night in the area, as the pricing is reasonable.

Had afternoon tea for a birthday celebration was really nice, Holly looked after us and made it a really good experience, will be back in the future for sure, scones and cakes where really nice, along with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, very enjoyable.

Les chambres sont très propres et lits très confortables. Les buffets sont copieux et les plats délicieux. Il y a beaucoup de choix. Le personnel très agréable. Tim, Tom, Athul, Dennies et Ernest très serviables et sympathiques. Ils font beaucoup d'efforts pour parler français

Soggiornato in questo hotel per caso a causa di un volo cancellato. La struttura é piuttosto attempata e assomiglia ad un tipico cottage di campagna inglese. Molto retro ma sicuramente di forte impatto visivo. Le camere sentono sicuramente il peso degli anni ma nonostante questo sono assolutamente comode, pulite e ben tenute. Il letto è enorme e discretamente comodo. Tutto in ordine e ben curato. L’accoglienza al desk é stata eccezionale, la signora alla reception è stata super cordiale ed efficiente nonché molto empatica, davvero un valore aggiunto. Check out rapido ed efficiente anche se con meno cordialità. A mezz’ora di auto da Gatwick è inoltre molto comodo per raggiungere l’aeroporto. Una piacevole sorpresa.
