Useless WIFI

The Wifi was dysfunctional. The service was 1 bar on my iPhone and 2 bars on the iPad. I was planning to watch a movie in the evening but it would continuously stop and hang to the point of being unwatchable. I raised this with front desk and was given a Wifi ticket which made no difference. I raised the topic again and was offered another room but I had just unpacked and wasn’t keen to move. Not good enough for Novotel.

Good hotel for visit to Nuremburg

Recently returned from 2nd stay at hotel (4 days 2024 and 5 days 2025). Location is perfect, near railway station/tram/underground stops and short walk to town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were large, clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was very tasty and lots of options for long stays. Pool and spa area is wonderful and has a good supply of towels. Rooms quite when windows shut but if open you have railway sounds at back and tram noise at front, take your pick but it didn't bother us. We will return again one day as we have had very pleasant and restful stays.

Stay away from this dirty place

If you do not have children, stay away. Children treat the breakfast area as their playground and touching the food with their grubby fingers. Hallways and our Room was very dirty. There was a red sweet on the carpet in our room when we checked in and it still was there 3 days later, it looked like it never got cleaned. Make sure to check your towels for stains before use. Staff not very friendly.

Overall this is a great hotel in a super location. I would say the pool is great but it can get quite busy so do think about when to try and use it. The rooms were good and the beds comfortable-my main gripes would be our room wasn't cleaned regularly and then it was very odd because on 2 different days and at different times with no knock a lady would walk in and say sorry and leave. It was very strange and not helpful when you are tired and trying to catch up on some sleep. The breakfast is generally good but clearly the staff here are frustrated with their roles and are very frosty even on arrival. The egg station is hit and miss depending on who is given that duty and the friendliness is very much lacking. The service does get busy and things run out regularly but if you ask the staff and have time to wait then they do get things for you e.g butter, bread for toasting. Overall a good hotel and reception staff generally excellent and very helpful.

Novotel Nürnberg Centre Ville was very clean, with a good breakfast and a convenient location that includes underground parking. The old town is right across the street, offering plenty of shops and restaurants. We didn’t use the pool because it was too crowded during our stay. The only downside was the beds, which were extremely firm—almost like sleeping on the floor.

That said, we understand that sleeping preferences vary greatly, and we’re sorry that yours didn’t align with our standard during this stay.
