We returned to the hotel after nearly 7 years and were so disappointed to see not much had changed. The rooms are tired and the facilities in general need a spruce up. The restaurant menus are average and booked well in advance despite the reviews being sub par. The room service menu was the smallest I have ever seen and it was like the hotel has too many guests for its facilities and staff levels. As an Accor member, this wasn’t acknowledged at check in and nor was my bday. Most hotels recognise your DOB on check in and at least acknowledge it. The gym is small and the hallways loud. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you’re a family with tiny kids I can see why you would like it. The parking here has always been a bit tricky with an uphill trek to reception but I am still baffled that there is no undercover walkway for guests after all these years.

Not luxurious, room was dated and very shabby.

Parking on arrival was tricky and it’s an uphill trek to reception. Our room was dated with a dirty stained carpet which had a hump in middle which was a trip hazard. The room was as far from reception as you can imagine, overlooking a blue metal container & a general dumping area. And why no guest laundry.. there were lots of families. If you’ve space for a games arcade, put in a guest laundry! I’m not sure if they see ‘Trailfinders’ on the booking and dump you in the shabbiest room but it certainly felt like it. The buffet breakfast was average for the cost, tables were sticky and all in we felt that this was not the impression a Fairmont would be trying to promote.

Everything was lovely, the place has certainly had a spruce up over the years. However the restaurant is too small for the number of people wanting dinner. As you are not walking distance to other options, you must book well ahead. We were unable to have dinner and had to order room service which was not great. The Whiskey Bar was top notch too!!

Ok trip but only for a family

Poor checkin experience. We were told the room was not ready (understandable) and then given no information about hotel facilities or activities - we were travelling with 2 young children during holidays. When we got the call that our room was ready, our key was at the concierge who was very busy and gave key without any info, I assume they woudl have expected reception to do this. We managed to do some activities, but had missed out on booking some in as they were sold out and the process was unclear. Dined at embers and the Italian restaurant- disappointing to see no children activity packs. Italian was great and fast service. Embers was disappointing, we had reserved 2 days prior to arrival but were seated in the breakfast section. Kids burgers were still red so sent back and had to wait 45min for them to come back out, the kids had then shared ours and were not hungry. Rooms are satisfactory, but in need of renovation. Breakfast was chaotic, food was ok however, difficult to access as the line was out the door and we were seated 2 rooms away from the buffet in the function area.

poor checkin. more than one hour in queue. requested valley view . not given on arrival. Room size ok but very less facilities. pillows too high . could sleep.bathroom was not upto standard. Sublime restaurant food quality was very bad. needs improvement. burger was so oily . couldn't eat a bite.. buffet breakfast did not justify the price they have reduced the items. paid barista cofee no fish item only white bread available omelette can't order fruit quality not upto standard bad experience. not worth the money.
