Pros: Nice location Parking available Good buffet breakfast-although if you're there on a weekend will have to join the other 200 or so guests at the buffet-total anarchy! Cons: Check in/out staff were completely unhelpful No concierge or help with luggage at all Generally very unkept tired and old, not very clean-it seems they're going to get the last dollar out of the property prior to any refurbishment Dining, if not included in the rate is very expensive This is the first hotel ever that I have not been able to sleep due to noise in the hallways and neighbouring rooms. In the morning there were wheely bins being rolled outside our room! I woke late in the night to a child screaming 'where's the party?' -Obviously there was a party going on in somebody's room Synopsis: I stayed here much to the disgust of my wife and had been there a couple of weeks before and discovered how bad this hotel is. The price was more than you would pay in central Sydney!! Absolutely does NOT meet Fairmont standard, except the price! Would I stay here again? NEVER !

Rooms lovely staff very helpful and feel sorry for them with all the complaints they were getting. The resort is full of kids loud and running. The bar closed at 6 the snack foods finished at 5 sometimes people just want a little something not big meals all the time in 15 mins I saw 9 people get told no more snack foods should be available all day and to be told go downstairs to get a drink while the bar is there and the lounge was full with people drinking doesn't make sense. I wouldn't suggest going unless you have kids.

If your a couple avoid at all costs. Also read other reviews for couples

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT IF YOUR A COUPLE SEEKING A NICE WEEKEND. Kids everywhere service very very poor bar turned into a kids food court. Restaurant jammed in like cattle over priced. We walked out before even ordering. Management could not care less. If i hear 1 more apology or hear we are very busy im sorry LET ME GIVE MANAGEMENT A TIP. YOUR A HOTEL THAT HAS BOOKINGS YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING. YOU HAVE FUNCTIONS BOOKED AGAIN YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING. Be very careful when booking. The site does not show accurate photos of bars or restaurants. The resort does not look like there site.

Pleasant, comfortable one night stay.

One night in Blue Mountains- family 4 adults with 3 kids. Upon arrival i regretfully remembered a comment in a previous review " drop your stuff at the door, before attempting to find a park " Should have remembered as it is good advice. A Monday night stay, two rooms 228 and 229 - opposite each other. Rooms clean, comfortable and warm on a freezing evening, however, room were tired and showing their age. The kids 2, 6, 12 made use of the heated indoor pool which was fabulous. Adults later retired to the lounge area to sit in front of fire and relax. One of the children accidently knocked a glass off the table - young guy behind the bar - whose name I unfortunately didn't get - immediately sprang into action without being asked and cleaned up the pieces with help from parents. Later we had made reservation at Embers restaurant - seated in front of beautiful/warm open fire. Staff at restaurant were friendly and helpful , (when you were able to get their attention) - on occasions - standing around talking amongst themselves. e.g. when placing meal order we ordered two bottles of accompanying wine. Eventually we had to ask where the wine was. ( obviously a training issue) However, the meal - a steak and delicious jewfish (3) with desserts was excellent. Summary: - all staff encountered were generally friendly and helpful. Warm, clean and comfortable rooms - a very pleasant one - night stay.

We recently stayed at The Fairmont Resort in the Blue Mountains and were very disappointed with the experience. The room was not up to the standard you’d expect from a 4-star resort. The bathroom had cracked tiles and a dated shower over a step-in bath, which was awkward and uncomfortable to use. Throughout our stay, the noise in the corridors was constant. Children were yelling and slamming doors well into the evening, and it felt more like a busy family motel than a peaceful getaway. We had made reservations at the fine dining restaurant in advance, but when we arrived, we were told it was fully booked and were instead seated in what felt like an overflow area — noisy, crowded, and full of unsupervised children running around. It completely ruined the atmosphere we were hoping for. The staff were generally unhelpful and dismissive. When we ordered food from the café, it was another letdown — bland, overcooked, and clearly not made with much care or attention. Overall, this was a disappointing stay. For the price and the star rating, we expected a much higher level of service and comfort.
