I came there with family to receive the BLT Built architectural award at the event held at Elisabethen Church, Basel. Simple clean modern interiors - the lobby and restaurant. Food was good but I wish there were more gluten free vegan options- though gluten free bread was available and chefs were happy to prepare it with olive oil. Courteous staff front office and restaurant - I can recall Vera, Shalini, Marco and Hannah. Easy Tram access from just near the hotel. Thank you, Ar. Srijit Srinivas

Our room was ready early when we arrived from the airport at midday - win! Modern stylish hotel, helpful staff, delicious food in restaurant (though the cooked breakfast not the hottest or tastiest, the rest was great). Location not near much except huge train lines but easy to get tram in to town! Not much to do for kids (one ping pong table & 1 gaming table in bar) but the Basel pass was great, enabling us to hop on the tram (around 5 stops) for free & offering 50% off attractions. To reach car park from airport, turn right after hotel and you drive up the road behind the hotel. Novotel car park is towards the end of the road. Follow signs inside, quite straightforward. Happy customers :)

Had a great stay here for work. Excellent location- short walk from train station. Nice breakfast, clean and large rooms.

Hotel is good place and walkable tram station however the hotel rooms are not spacious and breakfast and dinner options are also limited. Everything in hotel is on request basis and if you ask for something to be delivered in room it’s chargeable.

SAFE BOX IS NOT SAFE IN NOVOTEL

I have a very valuable items left in the safe box for “safe keeping” It is not possible that one item will be missing when the rest were found? Guests should right away be notified when their valuable belongings were accidentally left behind. In my knowledge only a manager has the authority to open a safe box as he or she will likely know the code to open one. I have stayed in Novotel hotels for many times and I have never encountered or experienced such unbelievable statement. It is not about the price value of the missing item but it is the sentimental value of it and the principle. I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED and WE WILL NOT STAY AGAIN!
