WORST EVER EXPERIENCE - total waste of time, room like a cage, window cannot be opened and no WIFI

Worst ever experience. Had a room like a cage, no WiFi and staff told me it is my new IPhone 17 and not the hotels fault.. unbelievable. Room had window which could not be opened, went to restaurant at Nocotel next door where I was told they had no free table despite half the lobby being free. A totally ghastly and unfriendly bar manager told me to go elsewhere. NEVER EVER again Total waste of money and time

First this is a budget hotel so it does what it says in the title. The location is good just 10 mins walk from the main station (or 2 stops on the tram). The room was all that we wanted. Yes the shower area is small but functional. The breakfast was simple but more than adequate. Would stay again!

Absolutely budget rooms, at a high price! But tiny bathroom (if you were large or fat you would not fit into the shower, no wardrobe, no mini bar, tiny room.

Basic but had everything we needed. Clean room with a good toilet, strong hot shower, blackout curtains, and a nice view. Quiet, with efficient A/C and friendly, helpful staff. Located in a pleasant neighborhood peaceful, though a tram or a walk is needed to reach the city center. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

Great location, with two tram stations only a few minutes away and from there it only takes 5 minutes to get to the city centre. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. You also get the Basel card for free, which means you get to use public transport for free and discount on museums and the zoo. The rooms don’t have a peephole, which can be a safety concern. If someone knocks on your door, you will need to open it to see who it is. If you are a light sleeper, you should request a room that is not facing the railway tracks as you’ll often hear trains coming past. The air vent / conditioning is noisy, even if the airco is not turned on.
