Novotel Bangkok Impact 4 gwiazdki

I received an upgrade to a Suite without even knowing the hotel has Suites, very nice and spacious. As a Platinum member of ALL I received a welcome gift, had access to some food and drinks during happy hour. (The Executive Lounge though was closed - but understandable as there were only very few customer in the hotel anyway. Pool was nice, Fitness was good - quite new equipment. Friendly and helpful employees.

I stayed for 2 night to attend event in Impact Arena. The hotel itself very very great location by walking distance to Event Hall, a lot of restaurant near to hotel. The outlets mall also walking distance. Room is modern. Breakfast is great, sit by the window you can see peaple walk around. Great place to stay.

Booked this hotel based on old reviews, they probably used to be good but this is not the case anymore. They are old rooms and not being well maintained that is more inferior than any 3 stars hotel. The air-condition for the building broke down, when we came back it was warm and pitched dark, there was only potable light leading to escalator, for a moment I thought I was in a haunted mansion. Went back to my room, air-conditioning for my room was not functioning as well and the room was humid and warm, temperature was 30 degree or more. No effort from concierge to inform us about this issue and I had to call the reception for at least 3 times within a few hours to follow up on the issue as we couldn’t sleep at all. It was frustrating. It took almost 3 hours for them to arrange us to another level with functioning air conditioning. Had to pack our bags at 3am to move room and the staff that came to lead us to our room came without the trolley and we had to hand carry our bags as we were there staying for 2 nights. Don’t expect any staff greeting in this hotel which supposed to be 4 stars; all staffs are extremely unfriendly, not just towards me but towards other guests as well. They have no initiative for recovery even when I checked out, there wasn’t a single apology for all the inconvenience caused. They were pretentious in taking down my email but nothing came in. For this price, you can probably get a much better hotel with proper basic facilities and services elsewhere in bangkok. If you need to be in Impact by any chance, give Ibis few steps down the road a try instead as Novotel hotel is disaster. Gave Novotel my first try but it will also be my last.

Stayed for first and last legs, of a mother(s) and son(s) trip. Flew in from HK to meet our teenage boys studying in UK. Without enough time for the islands, downtown BKK for the entire time wld be too much. Hotel arranged super safe and smooth PCR test - a drive-through swab with windows rolled down, at World Medical Hospital! Results ready in mere 6 hrs. Same for pre-flight tests back to HK. Motor show and book fair were on, 2 mins from walk bridge, perfect ad hocs for the boys! Excellent tennis coach (Gary, Haiwaiian) at the Impact Tennis Academy. Covered courts! Amazing karting fun in the breezy evenings, with huge food choices (at Lakefront). Was told Kimi (Raikkonen) has been at the Impact Speed Park, not once but 3 times! Don’t forget the outlets - went Nike outlet to stock up some outgrown essentials. We have stayed at their suite a few times, so it’s like a home away from home for the family. Bright, clean, quiet and spacious, with strong shower. One small snag — the fridge magnetic catch need fixing! Lounge is closed because of CoV but downstairs decor is actually quite nice.

Glad to back to Bangkok again after the pandemic stopped my plan. My first time in this hotel but won’t be last time. Stayed 1 night for joining motor event, very close to the event hall and impressed with service from entire staff. Comfy bed and clean room. Breakfast is good.
