La struttura si presenta in un quartiere servito da più stazioni di metropolitana e la fermata dell’autobus subito all’uscita dell’hotel. La camera aveva dimensioni generose, pulita e dotata di televisore, area condizionata finestra e (su richiesta) asciugacapelli. La colazione è varia e sempre rifornita. Un plus la macchina per i pancake! Il personale sempre molto gentile e disponibile. Deposito bagagli gratuiti sia prima del check in sia dopo il check out. Consigliata!!

Hotel posizionato di fronte alla fermata dell'autobus e a 5 minuti a piedi dalla metropolitana. Stanza piccola ma pulita e con tutto il necessario. Unico neo il materasso veramente troppo morbido. Colazione varia anche se con poca scelta di salato.

Partiamo dalla posizione: molto buona! Al confine tra la zona 1 e la zona 2 era comunque davvero ben collegata con due stazioni metro vicine. Stile hotel minimal moderno con tutti i confort essenziali (non dimintichiamoci che è un budget a 2 stelle). Pulizia impeccabile, camere compatte (molto) ma moderne. Aspettatevi la doccia a fianco a letto. Diciamo che il bagno in camera poteva essere un po' più "isolato" dato che la porta si appoggiava e basta e non era la classica con colpo di maniglia. Ma posso dire che per il prezzo pagato andava benissimo. Unica pecca, tipica inglese, è che non c'è il concetto di oscuramento: per la notte c'era una tapparella da tirare giù che però faceva trapelare un po' di luce al mattino (nulla di eccessivo comunque) , quindi chi è sensibile si porti via una mascherina da notte. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione ma intravedendo sembrava un buffet interessante.

Soggiorno di 10 giorni meravigliosi in una struttura semplice, moderna e nuova con uno staff cordiale, disponibile. Scarsi dieci minuti per raggiungere due metro ben posizionate rispetto al centro e ad est di Londra. Ottima colazione con la possibilità di spendere anche solo 2 pounds e 50 per cappuccino e cornetto. Solo un piccolo dettaglio, un paio di volte ho trovato un capello sul tappetino bagno che era stato cambiato. Tutto il resto meravigliosamente perfetto 😀

L’ho scelto per lo standard IBIS, so quello che trovo ovunque in Europa, non ci sono sorprese. Chiaramente viaggio “budget”. Personale disponibile, refill acqua per borracce gratuito e suggerito dal personale. Posizione comodissima sia per metro che per aeroporto da Whitechapel con Elisabetta Line c’è il collegamento diretto. Quartiere non troppo pulito, sarà stato per via del caldo e gli odori di spezie e cibo dell’est caratteristico della zona che dopo qualche giorno iniziava a darmi fastidio. Interessante sapere che era la zona di caccia di Jack lo squartatore, vari tour a piedi vi mostreranno i luoghi degli omicidi. Inoltre Brick Lane è famosa per il suo Vintage Market più grande di Londra. Lo trovate dopo l’ingresso di “Bangla Town”. Tornando alla camera purtroppo la doppia con letti singoli è troppo piccola. Si fatica a muoversi. Anche se in due scegliete la tripla con il “nest bed”, è più spaziosa (provata in altri hotel ibis). La formula doccia in camera, lavandino vicino al letto e WC in zona separata permette alle persone di poter fare 3 cose diverse contemporaneamente senza tenere occupata la stanza da bagno. Cambio asciugamano giornaliero su richiesta. Cosa che ho fatto visto che chiaramente manca il bidet.

Ottimo per famiglie. L'unico problema è stato il cattivo funzionamento delle macchine da caffè e del pancake.
