A comfortable stay in a reliable chain hotel

The location is hard to beat, right across from the Insadong Hanok Village, but still quiet and not too rowdy. The room itself was functional more than anything, and was a bit smaller than anticipated, but we made it work. The bathroom particularly is quite pokey, but thoroughly modern. Staff exceptionally friendly, and the hot bath downstairs was excellent to relax in after a cold day of sightseeing in winter. It was also difficult to moderate the temperature in the room. It was always very warm, and the AC was somewhat erratic and noisy when trying to cool the room - opening a window was more effective.

Our Wonderful Experience Staying at Ibis Insadong

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! The staff were always really friendly and understanding with us not speaking much Korean which set a nice atmosphere. Our room was pretty good, the only thing I’d complain about is the heating/air con system which is why I wouldn’t give this hotel 5 stars. Everything else about the room was good though, like the free amenities and cleanliness. The location of this hotel was definitely something we (my family and I) loved. It was in a very nice area that was very pretty and wasn’t super loud at night. Something I found funny about the hotel was the original songs, they were a bit goofy. Overall our stay at this hotel was very good and I would recommend it to others!

For guests who prefer more personalized climate control, our 10th-floor Premium Rooms offer an independent heating and cooling system. Should you plan a future visit, please feel free to contact us directly — and if availability allows, we would be happy to extend a complimentary upgrade to our Premium Floor for your comfort. For lighter cooling during milder seasons, some guests also enjoy opening the windows to welcome fresh outdoor air — a simple way to refresh the room and enjoy the seasonal breeze of Seoul. We are thrilled that our “Inssadong Songs” brought a smile to your stay. The title blends “Insa-dong” with the playful Korean slang for “insider (inssa),” and the tracks were created with AI technology together with our staff. The room is so clean and tidy after the cleaning. Bed is very comfortable and we had very hood sleep here. Hotel location is quite near to night market and also Myeondong.
