ibis Styles Paris Cadet Lafayette

Stayed for four nights. This is a basic, simple hotel. As we were on vacation and would be out sightseeing all day & eating out at night, we really only needed a nice room to stay in & a decent breakfast to start the day. It is a great location, close to Gare du Nord and the metro, making it very easy to reach any part of Paris. Plenty of good bars & restaurants in the area too. The room was fresh and clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, they really made us feel at home. Breakfast was continental, juice, coffee, bread, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, yogurt, croissants, etc. and was plentiful and good. The room was very very small, barely bigger than the double bed. But I knew that, and this is not a complaint. Just a note for others on what to expect.

The hotel was easy to find as its only 10 minutes away from Gare Du Nord via walking. The staff were fantastic. Breakfast was continental, egg timer on hand for the eggs, sandwich toaster. The room is a decent size for a solo traveller as I was on the fifth floor. Basic amenities in the room: tv, table, phone, bright orange toilet/shower room. The location where the hotel is, can walk to following areas of tourist attractions: 30 minutes walk to Museum of Louvre 1 hour walk to Eiffel Tower 20 mins walk to Sacre-Coeur 20 mins walk to Moulin Rouge 45 mins walk to Notre Dame 35 mins walk to Place del la Concorde, another 30 mins walk from there to Arc de Triomphe 10 mins walk to Eglise Saint-Vincent-de-Paul church

Stayed here for 5 days. The hotel lobby is clean and very contemporary. Free filtered water is provided to reduce the use of plastic bottles. There’s a microwave and free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. There’s one tiny elevator, but rarely had to wait long. The room is clean and modern, though small and tight. The bed, though listed as a double, was a good (larger) size and probably more equivalent to an American queen or even king. That was nice, but it took up a lot of space in the room. The only real issue was the tiny bathroom. It was hard to bend over in the shower without touching the cold walls. The worst was the space in front of the toilet. There’s only a 12 inch/30 cm space between the front of the toilet seat and the wall. I honestly believe they size up the guest before assigning the room, since there is no way a wide and/or tall person would be able to use the toilet. This is the layout for rooms ending in 2 (12, 22…, 62). Finally, the Continental breakfast was adequate, though I’m more used to a British or American breakfast. I would most definitely stay here again, especially since the location is so central to everything of interest.

The hotel is well located and quiet. It is not an hotel in which you can stay a long time inside, because evereything is so small! The lift is so small that you can't go inside with a big suitcase. The hotel is very clean and the room are quiet, and welle climatized.
