Rooms are on the small side, but are clean with comfortable beds and no noise from the airport or other rooms. Plenty of parking, they also have an airport shuttle bus.

Stayed one night before my flight and it was just right for a short stay. The room is small but efficiently laid out and spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the airport shuttle runs smoothly. I liked that the showerhead was detachable — surprisingly rare in New Zealand hotels! There’s a Woolworths supermarket directly across the road and plenty of restaurants and cafés in the area, which is super convenient. My only small suggestion would be to add a power outlet near the bed. Overall, great value and location for an airport stay.

Ibis Budget is a solid choice for a quick stay. The rooms are compact but clean, with comfy beds and basic amenities. Staff were friendly and check-in was efficient. Free airport shuttle is a big plus.Perfect for a no-frills stopover, but don’t expect luxury.

This hotel is basic but very clean and has everything a traveller needs for their stay. It is very close to the airport and the yellow bus at the airport can drop you at the hotel in a few minutes (for a small fee). The staff in reception were great, especially Chris who helped me store my luggage safely. 24 hour reception which is great for exhausted travellers.

I knew it was going to be about midnight when I arrived in Auckland so booked my first night at this hotel. I had checked maps of the airport and for some reason I had got the idea the hotel is much closer to the terminal than it really is. I had thought a 10-12 minute walk and but at the terminal was quickly told in reality it was at least double that. There is a shuttle bus but at that time of night one wasn't due for another 20 minutes. So decided to hike it anyway. There is a path but it is not well signposted at all. After a 25-minute hike I arrived at the hotel. It was all good. Check-in easy and room fine. It was clean, everything worked and it was whisper quiet. Having stayed in Ibis airport hotels before I expected the room to be tiny - and it lived up to my expectations. There were 3 beds, a double and a bunk but minimal floor space - had there really been 3 occupants I have no idea where they would stow their luggage. Luckily for me I was travelling solo.
