Great hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. We will back to Grand Mercure Danang in the future. Room is superbly clean and tastefully appointed This is a nice memory for me in Da Nang and Vietnam also. So lovely and memorable trip for me. Quite exceptional and probably the best service we have enjoyed anywhere in the world.

We were greeted by friendly staff who could not do enough for us. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the breakfast catered for every culture and the Vietnamese coffee is sensational. The hotel is a five minute taxi to the town market. Download the grab app for the best set price. ***** five stars

Great views of the review from many rooms and fantastic view of the evening fireworks from the privilege lounge. On the 1st day the pool like a bath, my partner joked that if he stayed in it for 45 minutes, he would be a ‘white cooked chicken’. Interestingly the next day the pool was cooler, potentially as there had been a storm and the rain was quite cold. The 1st night in the lounge was fantastic with an awesome range of food including sliced duck breast. Unfortunately, the food on the 2nd night was or a much lower standard with luke warm chicken wings and the noodles etc. weren’t as nice as the 1st night. It was like the chef ran out of budget for food on the Sunday. Range of drinks was good and loved the way the hotel showcased Vietnamese Gin. We wish we bought a bottle as we can’t find it in Australia since we returned a few days ago. Breakfast both in the main dining room and the lounge was very good. Really liked how the welcome drinks provided different cocktail options to the cocktails in the privilege lounge.

Great Hotel Great Staff and Fantastic Upgrade

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and can't rave about this hotel enough. Stayed for 3 nights this time, would have liked it to be longer. Room fantastic, admittedly got a double upgrade to a suite lucky for us. A big thank you to David the GM for such a wonderful gesture. Brilliant city and river views from this wonderful room. Management of this hotel have nailed it with their staff on all levels that's what makes this such a great hotel. If you are staying here on a Friday night the seafood buffet is great value and variety but if you are not can highly recommend the Golden Dragon restaurant for its wonderful Dim Sum Buffet. We would like thank all the staff for making our stay such a memorable one also a special mention to Ms Son & Ms Anh in the Club Lounge for looking after us so well. We will certainly be back again.

Manager Mr. Cam need to be fired

My wife and 2 friends try to experience Vietnam Da Nang about culture and people until the manger of the hotel accusing me of stealing his cheap mobile phone. So I emailed the General Manager Mr. David Coyle, since August 20 when were back here in Philippines I haven't recieve or heard from the General Manger. and here is my letter for him. I want to share this to the World and warned them of the said person. Booking Jing Fuertes Reservation number NPHSFNTN Room number 1009 Mr and Mrs Nicanor Fuertes Sydney, Australia NSW 2765 jma_jing@yahoo.com.au nfue3881@gmail.com 18th August 2024 Mr David Coyle General Manager Grand Mercure Da Nang Lot A1 Zone of the Villas, of Green Island, Hao Cuing Bac Hai chau District 84551 Da Nang, Vietnam Dear Mr David Coyle, I am writing to formally address an incident that occurred during my recent stay at your hotel 17th August 2024. While the overall stay was satisfactory, I encountered a situation involving the hotel’s reception staff and management that I believe warrants your attention. Upon arrival, we had a discussion with Mr. Do at the reception about changes to our booking. After resolving these changes, we were advised to see Mr Cam for final amount regarding our stay. After me and my company finish the said transaction we wait in the lounge lobby. Shortly afterward, the hotel manager, Mr. Cam, approached us and, in an unprofessional manner, asked if I got his phone. This inquiry was overheard by my wife and a friend and caused considerable embarrassment for both me and my friend, who was understandably frightened by the interaction. Despite my calm response, suggesting that Mr. Cam check the security cameras for clarification, the situation did not improve immediately. After a delay of approximately 5 to 10 minutes, Mr. Cam returned to inform us that he had located the phone under some paperwork and apologized for the confusion. Although I accepted the apology, the manner in which the situation was handled left much to be desired. It is crucial for hotel staff, particularly management, to handle such situations with professionalism and discretion. The approach and communication displayed by Mr. Cam did not meet the standards of courtesy and respect expected from a managerial level. I recommend that additional training be provided to ensure that all staff members handle similar situations with the appropriate professionalism and sensitivity. Thank you for taking the time to address this matter. I hope this feedback will assist in improving the service quality at your hotel. I would like to give special mention to Mr DO, Mr Nguyen and Miss Nhi for their professionalism. This people show us how to feel at home. Sincerely, Mr and Mrs Nicanor Fuertes
