We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the hotel, the room, our team and the quality of the food - and we sincerely thank you for recommending our establishment despite the discomfort caused by the noise. Indeed, as you pointed out, our privileged location in a historic building in the heart of Strasbourg has its advantages... but also a few constraints, particularly linked to the immediate surroundings and the old structure of the building. The single-glazed windows, required by heritage conservation standards, can sometimes let in more outside sound. It's true that the proximity of a school and a busy thoroughfare can cause some noise pollution depending on the time of day or week. We have taken good note of your very constructive suggestions: systematically offering top-of-the-range earplugs and informing our guests more clearly when they arrive are avenues that we will seriously consider. As for improving soundproofing, we are continually studying possible solutions, while respecting the architectural constraints of a place as emblematic as the Cour du Corbeau. In fact, during the mid-season period, our air conditioning systems are sometimes not yet activated in order to remain in line with our environmental commitment, particularly as part of our Green Key certification. That said, next time you stay with us, don't hesitate to ask for a room on the courtyard side: they are generally quieter and cooler.
