Cleanliness of room was very poor - discarded underwear from previous guests! Breakfast was extremely disappointing (poor quality/choice), and when we asked to cancel breakfast on the second day we were told this wasn't an option and no compensation was offered.

Hotel really needs modernization, as it is really old inside and furniture is worn, in the first room they gave me sink was broken in the second it was chair, corridors are awful as well as the room decoration. I really don’t understand why they don’t close it and renovate properly. On the second note the breakfast was on of the worst I had in my lifetime. If you have other options don’t stay there!

We've stayed here before and as always, the staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. From supplying fresh towels, to advice about places to visit and travel. Will definitely return. When my husband discovered we'd been overcharged on our bill, it was sorted out with no fuss.

No confirmation email after 2 phone call requests. Service in bar slow & forgetful. Breakfast, not well organised,had to ask for water, no milk by teas and cleaning machine in middle of breakfast. 2 jugs boiling water sitting waiting to be knocked over. Hot food warm and dried, 2 fried eggs only that had seen better days. Milk machine was difficult to get cup or bowl under it. Toaster was smoking and took ages. For the price better service all round required.

Most of the staff were fine, pleasant even. If I'd known that being part of a wedding party made some of the staff look at you in disgust and refuse to serve bottled water or snacks I would not have stayed. Yes, despite being a paying guest some staff choose to treat people abysmally because tgey ate also wedding guests. I couldn't believe it. The guy at the golf shop was nice though, he sold me water no problem.

Not really 4 star? Went to the restaurant at 22.50 on a Friday night to be told last orders had been called and we would not be served (4 star?). Reception had said the bar (it's not a bar by the way) would be open until 23.30. Info in the room said last orders were between 2245 and 2300, so we should have been ok?. Nothing to drink - so we thought we would use the fridge to cool some beer we had - except the fridge was not working. Room service perhaps? Stopped at 2115 and cost £5 a pop to use. Other non 4 star things - reception don't book taxi's but they did give us a number no daily housekeeping - if you run out you go to reception nowhere in the shower to rest your soap/shampoo no comfortable seat in the bedroom (plenty of space though) breakfast - no milk beside the tea/coffee - it was kept by the cereals (I don't do cereal so I didn't know, silly me), no spoons beside the fruit salad (again, by the cereals), coffee machine out of order but no sign to say so reception tables heavily chipped and rather tired looking The room was large and quite nice though.

We had the worse hotel experience ever and the hotel is utter chaos. I am very understanding of inexperienced staff who due to a Pandemic are training but the level of inefficiency and poor communication and service overall is shocking! Our room did not match the pictures on the internet and was not cleaned to an acceptable standard with a blocked sink. The swimming pool was pleasant but the jacuzzi dirty, there were not enough towels or robes for all the guests. The sink in our room took 6 hours to be fixed and at no point did anyone apologise. I had numerous dealings pre-stay regarding an NHS offer that actually was not as good as some other offers. We had be assured pre and on arrival that the We are Family offer would be honoured, it was not. The Customer Relations Manager David, was a nice enough guy but very ineffectual. A waiter called Alex showed the best customer service and initiative we saw in our short stay. Due to noise, I spoke with the night manager and we checked out at 11am and booked into a new hotel at considerable expense! One of the managers reduced our rate from £165 to £89 on reflection I would rather have paid £0 as think we were wholly messed around. It was not Mecure standard and I hope you do much better by future guests! If you would like to return what we paid, I’d be grateful!

As usual staff were excellent accomodating and very friendly. Issues were, room 240, mixer tap on bath not working, bathroom sink not draining correctly, kettle was working but connection was unsound electrically, mattress had a piece of metal protruding from the side, milk in fridge was off and not noticed until put into tea. Staff are always courteous and froinedly and Georgia especially was helpful at checkout and sorted the invoce for me in the format required, than you.

Well appointed room much quieter than I was anticipating. Hotel was full due to golf weekenders and a wedding party so breakfast was not a particularly enjoyable experience. The food was good but quickly ran out and little choice of where to sit. I was astonished that the rooms had no servicing during our stay (apparently due to covid restrictions, although the other hotels we had stayed in had no such issues). The staff were friendly but clearly overstretched

Booked 3 rooms for a friends weekend away. Rooms were dirty. Bath had cigarette burn. TVs didn’t work. Couldn’t book the restaurant as full from weddings. Breakfast was very poor. Totally spoiled the weekend. I was embarrassed that I had booked this on behalf of my friends. Management eventually reacted and refunded half the money for each room before trying to bill it back again!! We will not be going back again and probably won’t book this group of hotels again.

Food is nice but cost a lot and drink are disgusting prices. Stains on carpet floor toilet flush button broken and noisy all night. Stayed with work and have requested they do not book the Same hotel. Breakfast is also cold and dry.

My husband and I stayed at your hotel from Wednesday 1st September - 5th September 2021. We were disappointed .Nobody serviced our room throughout the stay even though we had please service outside the door. The television did not work the whole time. There was no heating at all. We have stayed at Mercure hotels before and never had that experience. However the staff were excellent.

While I understand the regulations restrict some of your services, not having been asked (only if I invited) if my room could be cleaned (it wasn't in 5 days apart from one kind staff member) dropping in some towels seems a little unacceptable. The staff are excellent. The checkout was unbelievable (again staff member excellent) as I needed receipts, no printer was working and I am still to receive the receipt for the extra night paid directly to your staff. I also requested to scan a document for business to be told no scanner in the hotel. I find this and still paying full prices quite a dissapointment compared to the Hotel in Leige a few days later.

This hotel is almost doing nothing to stop COVID. Most of their employees were not wearing face masks. The breakfast was the worst breakfast in my life. They had 3 or 4 options of food only and there was a bad of breads that everyone was putting their hands inside. Not a single person in the room wearing face masks. Everything was terrible. The check-in staff was very rude and didn't provide me with welcome drinks, even though I remember her TWICE that I was a Gold member.

not being able to book food in restaurant until late and not being able to use either bar becsuse of wedding function made our stay uncomfortable because our tv wasnt working and has been out of service for a number of weeks so we could have been informed so we could have made other arrangements very poor
