My stay at the IBIS Hotel in Foz do Iguazu was a practical and straightforward experience typical of the IBIS brand. Located conveniently near the famous Iguazu Falls, this hotel offers exactly what budget-conscious travelers need: clean, no-frills accommodation with reliable standards. While it won't win awards for luxury, the hotel provides a solid, predictable base for exploring the incredible natural wonder of the falls and the surrounding region. LOCATION: Perfectly situated for tourists, the hotel is relatively close to Iguazu National Park and offers easy access to transportation. It's within reasonable driving distance of both the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls, making it an ideal base for travelers wanting to explore the area. The surrounding neighborhood is safe and provides quick connections to major attractions. DINE + DRINK: The hotel's restaurant serves a standard buffet breakfast typical of IBIS properties - nothing extraordinary but sufficient. There's a small bar area for casual drinks and light snacks. ROOM: We stayed in Room 553, so this review is based on that; The Room was exactly what you'd expect from IBIS: clean, compact, and efficiently designed. Standard amenities include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a work desk, and a compact bathroom. The rooms here are maintained to the brand's consistent quality standards - functional rather than luxurious. FACILITIES: No Gym or Pool on site SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Small Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment pretty much in PORTUGUESE language!

Simple hotel, clean, centrally located. It was exactly what we were looking for for a few days stay to go see the Iguacu Falls. Breakfast is basic but good. Staff was very professional and helpful. There was a tour desk from Loumar Tour Company which we got all our tours with them. There are excellent restaurants right across the street from the hotel and a delicious gelato ice cream next to it.

Fantastic! We travel quite a bit and sincerely we had a great welcome at our arrival. The bureaucracy to check in in a hotel in Brazil is a lengthy process but the receptionist made easier for us when he asked if we would like to sit near by during this process. After we went to our room which was clean and located in the top floor, I am glad we had this room as near by there is a restaurant /bar with live music which at times may be noise. The hotel location is great with lots of shops, restaurants, good transport links, supermarket etc, The staff in the hotel always had a smile in their faces and willingness to help guests, like my daughter who is a vegan, me using the washing machine/dryer. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager who was extremely friend and helpful. If you stay at this hotel Do Not use the services of the travel agency by the hotel entrance, they will charge much more than you need to pay. You can use a taxi or bus to go to the to the cataracts and birds park around 60 reais for taxi one way or 5 reais by bus. Itaipu is only 20 minutes away and about 20 reais by uber or 40/50 by taxi. Nice ice cream shop next door, wonderful Japanese restaurant opposite. Me and my family wants to thanks the whole staff for our wonderful stay and hope to come back. Keep up the good work.

My initial impression was not good - the member of staff who checked me in uttered only two words during the check in process - "passport" and "sign". I tried to initiate a bit of conversation, but it was apparent that I was wasting my time - for example I asked what time breakfast began at as I knew I had an early start the next morning and was ignored. Maybe they were having a bad day. It is not representative of all of the staff - I was speaking to one particularly nice member of housekeeping staff. The hotel is well located. It is within walking distance of the bus station and of a supermarket. It is also within walking distance of a number of restaurants. A taxi firm have a small office outside the hotel. You'll be at the Brazilian side of the falls by taxi in 25 minutes. There was a good selection for breakfast. The hotel is well maintained and clean. There is good, fast wifi. Only minor annoyance was the absence of an in room safe, which is unusual for an Ibis hotel - rooms in Ibis hotels generally do have a safe. The price paid was good value for my short stay.
