Comfortable stay in a neat room with a great view

I spent a couple of nights here while on a business trip to Brest. I appreciated the unique touches that the hotel has - like the fact that the rooms each have interesting names and are decorated with cool maritime art. The books in the rooms are pretty cool too. I loved the fact that I had a little private balcony with a view of the port (not all the rooms have this though) and a small table with chairs, so that I could just sit or stand out there and enjoy the fresh air without even leaving my room. I liked the arrangement of the room, it was both functional and cute in terms of the effective use of space. I instantly felt comfortable. The breakfast was decent, the location was easy to find and the staff were cordial. Overall, I felt that the room rate offered good value for money. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel is an Ibis Styles, ok, but the kindness of the two ladies at the reception makes it enjoyable as a Novotel and even more. Everything is very well organised and clean, the internal parking is a bit cumbersome but nothing to worry about. Nice sea views from the top floors. Bravo les dames!

Family of three. We were given a very spacious room with two big double beds. A nice, spacious bathroom with good pressure in the shower. Well functionning WIFI. The complimentary breakfast was good. Coffee available in the reception but not in our room. Location wise ok - about ten minutes on foot to the town center (up a steep hill) and free parking just outside the hotel.

Great hotel in central position to see all of breasts beautiful sites near cafes bars restaurants cinema theatre I enjoyed my stay and will be back to taste the French cuisine and wine the people and staff were great I felt satisfied

A few days before my stay at Ibis Styles Brest Port I received an email from one of their front desk staff explaining there was going to be a port festival / fair the night of my stay and that the access to the hotel would be restricted. The email said the road restrictions would go in place at 5pm and that I would need to show my reservation confirmation to the guards / security to let me through with my car. So, I timed myself to be in Brest before 5pm to not have to deal with this. I arrived in the port area at exactly 4:35 and the barriacades / road closures were already in place. So much for the accuracy of the 5pm closure. As instructed I showed the security guy my confirmed reservation, which didn't help, he would not let me through. I then parked the car and walked to the hotel only to be told car access was possible only from one street / one entry point!!! A key piece of information which was left out of the email notification. I walked back to my parked car, drove around to the appropriate control point and was finally able to get to the hotel. All this took me more than 40 minutes. Two days before my arrival I also received an email inviting me to pre-chek-in online, which I did and then even received a text message on my phone around 2pm on the day of my arrival informing me the room keys were waiting for me at the "welcome desk". Arriving at the "welcome desk" there a a somewhat confused and disorganized (though friendly) clerk, who could not find my room keys. It turned out they were not waiting for me, in fact no room was yet even assigned to my reservation. She then did it manually and finally I was on my way to the room after an hour of commotions. The assigned room was at the very end of the hallway, it was somewhat larger than regular room, more like a suite. It was very nice, in great shape, clean and with lots and lots of space, closets, drawers, tables. It featured a full-size sofa and a separate toilet and bathroom. The only thing I was missing was a water kettle / coffee maker and some paper tissues. Other than that the room was great. So was breakfast in the morning, with lots of choices and presented nicely. I used their garage to park the car, which was convenient and reasonably priced. All in all for the room and the property I give them 5 points, for accuracy of information and pre-arrival as well as arrival experience 1 point. If they work on improving the latter it could be a great hotel.
