Location in city OK, but extremely noisy early one morning when school in neighbouring building had assembly right next to the hotel. Lack of parking space made drop off and pick up by car difficult. No English speaking staff in reception, translation with the help of mobile phone was time consuming.

The location of this hotel is very good for those taking train to Xiamen Island directly. Plenty of shopping options in the vicinity. Next door Jinbang Park is nice too. Room is very small but clean and pretty comfy but cigarette smell lingered in the room. Non-smoking is not enforced here. What we really like is the location of this hotel. Staff service was just mediocre.

Ibis is not the first time I picked in other countries. However, this time was a very bad experience. The entire floor was under renovation, all carpets are covered with protector but the management still release to public. The first thing reception inform us was there is no other room available when we check in but the floor of room reserved for us is under renovation! Once we finished check in, a walk in couple ask for room, his reply is available! What kind of customer service!! When we get into the room, the entire new tile floor is full of dust, same as the towels inside the bathroom. HOW NICE IT IS!!!

small room, although rooms were renovated but there is still some leaking in the shower room, however, the location is great, close to Xiamen rail station and malls would be great if continental breakfast can be included for accor members

The hotel is located on Xiahe Road (a main road) near Xiamen Railway Station (5 mins walk) and close to two shopping malls where you could find a Walmart and many restaurants as well as some local eateries. It takes 15-20 mins to the ferry terminal, or International Cruise Centre, to get on the ferries heading to Gulong Island. The price is reasonable compared the one at Zhongshan Road (a shopping district) that would cost you almost a double but easily reached by cab (10-15mins). Quite spacious room with all basic facilities, e.g. TV, hair dryer and table, air-con (cold). A bit poor sound isolation of windows if the room is facing to the road.
