I spent one night at Ibis Styles Calais Centre on a business trip to France 🇫🇷. The hotel location is excellent, in one of the city's busiest streets with several bars and restaurants at walking distance. Front desk staff was professional and efficient. My room was on the first floor with street view and therefore tended to be noisy. It was quite large but awkwardly designed with two beds facing each other on the opposite side of the room. The decoration was pretty basic. However, the furniture's flashy colours were meant to give it a more welcoming touch. The desk was so small that working on it would almost be impossible. The bathroom was quite tiny, and the leaking tub's glass window could not prevent water from splashing everywhere. This should definitely be fixed. Breakfast was good, but the room looked more like a canteen than a cosy place to start the day. The orange squeezing machine was a very nice feature, and the buffet offered a broad selection of bakeries, cold cuts, and breads. Despite its inherent limitations, Ibis Styles Calais is a good place to spend a night in Calais.

So good to be back after only two weeks but still as friendly and welcoming as ever. Problem with one of my rooms rectified within minutes. Special mention to the staff who ( friendly as ever) sorted my minor room problem out without any issues. Staff to mention :- Loreme-loeuka- Dylan ( Xmas Ballman)

Not the best stay we’ve had

We have stayed here many times but the room this time was a little disappointing. The view was of the many bird feathers scattered around. The sink was in the room with the shower adjacent. This is our go to hotel in Calais but this stay did not meet our expectations.

Room 213. Really comfortable beds with mattress topper ( I have bad hips and normally struggle with hotel beds). Very quiet room (not facing street) Good Aircon Good continental style breakfast Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine in foyer 24hrs Central location Very helpful staff

We had a nice evening at this hotel. It would be cheaper to stay elsewhere outside Calais but due to an early start we had to pay slightly more than elsewhere. The breakfast was a bit disappointing with the variety available but it was all nice and tasty and there was plenty to eat. Room was perfectly fine. My issue (and I have a photo if required) relates to fire safety and seeing propped open fire doors. I’m not sure of French fire regulations but in the UK this would be illegal. People might call this picky and may not be common practice but I can’t find an email for the hotel to bring this up directly.
