Gone downhill sadly

Been coming here for years but despite being a platinum loyalty member, never seem to get the welcome amenities any more (we always do especially abroad) - if you get a nespresso machine that doesn’t leak all over the place you’ll be fortunate.

I am even more sorry that these issues were not addressed during any of your previous stays with us. Once again came here for a business trip and had an issue with payment which was nothing to do with the hotel. The reason I bring this up is because the staff were great about it and was willing to help rather than push us to the side. Rooms are amazing, clean. Used the bar this time which was fine and food for breakfast in the morning was great and had a lot of choices. Overall another nice stay and will recommend to friends.

Bad customer service

Experience bad service We are a family of 3 ( Vietnamese ) checking in with the hotel for 2 nights. We got the room on the corner where you would have give to couple with kids. We went downstairs to restaurant for food. Massive restaurant, no customer but the gentleman gave us a tiny table near fire exit, the low key side of the restaurant. Been asking why we can’t sit in one of the booths front of the restaurant, the answer where they are booked. The incident occurred was 10 pm and we the last customer.

From your specific ratings it is unfortunate that the single incident you described so negatively impacted what seemed to have been an otherwise great 2 nights stay at the hotel. As we explained to you at the time of the incident and the signs displayed confirmed, a section of the restaurant was closed so that the chairs and carpets could be steam cleaned. You were also informed that the two booths at the front of the restaurant that you were requesting were either booked or occupied as the guests items were still visible in one of the booth. I am sorry that the explanation we provided to you at the time fell short of addressing your concern, which then so negatively impacted your overall perception of the services you received during your 2 nights stay. I therefore apologise for our failure to better communicate and address this during your stay. I can assure you that it is miscommunication that is at the source of this incident and nothing else. I am therefore hoping that my additional explanation now will go someway in restoring your faith in the level of service we provide at Novotel London Brentford. My apologies once again for any inconvenience caused and I am hoping that you and your family would consider returning to the hotel when you next visit London. Kind regards, Terence

A family friendly, modern well-equipped hotel with super staff

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at through hotel with our 6 year old daughter. From start to finish our experience at the hotel was first rate. On arriving, very tired after a long journey, Roberto was very friendly and efficient checking us in. He was super helpful with our parking needs and we couldn't fault his friendly yet professional approach. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We all slept really well and the only thing that we feel could be improved was the pillows which were a little lumpy. We paid to have breakfast at the hotel each morning and were so glad we did. The food was great, with a large selection and something for every member of the family. Our daughter was very keen to be independent and get her own breakfast. The staff were lovely with her and she commented a number of times on how they had helped her. We used the swimming pool on a number of occasions and really enjoyed it. The only improvement that could be made would be non-slip mats in the changing area. We both slipped over and we saw others do the same. The hotel is a short walk from Brentford train station from where it is really easy to get to Waterloo. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and no doubt will be visiting again in the future.

We had the loveliest stay after a festival, beds were super comfy, lovely clean dressing gowns and then a refreshing swim the next morning. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Our room was lovely and the shower was spot on pressure wise.
