Never again. After checking into our room (which looked like a jail cell) we asked to move and were advised this was not possible due to full capacity. We ended up in a disabled room which we did not book with a shower room that flooded and would not drain. The sink in the bathroom had a massive crack in it and the bathroom door had holes in it. People arguing in the corridor at 8am. Pizza boxes piled up in reception beside the bins because the bins were full. We believe to have been placed next to a boiler room as there was banging coming through the walls constantly. The list goes on. We explained this on the night of and the next day when leaving - the receptionist did not looked phased in the slightest at the comments as he probably gets it everyday. I have tried to contact the hotel by email and by phone. This was my last resort.

No Hot Water

No hot water in the morning. Seemed to be caused by everybody showering at the same time. Hot water wasnt constant ...oscillated from hot to cold...it was like the boilers werent large enough to cope with the capacity of water needed or the pipes were sufficiently large enough. Came to check an hour later but obvs nobody showering then so water was constantly hot. Was offered a partial refund but feel i should have been given the whole amount as i would never have booked that hotel had i had known. If you want a hot shower...dont book here.

Small rooms but clean and good location

Decent for a budget hotel. Our room small but very clean. Great location, only £5 in a taxi to Picadilly gardens. Tv in the rooms, also towels. Check in and check out was very smooth and quick. No tea/coffee making facilities which was a shame. Heating system worked very well and warmed up the room very quick. Shower gel and hand wash provided. Parking- we parked just down the road at the tram stop, £6 for 24 hours, not the most secure carpark but we had no issues, you pay with coins/phone or parking app ( really straight forward) The hotel is on a direct bus and tram route to Picadilly gardens. We have no issues, would return again for a cheap stay in Manchester.

Worst hotel I've stayed at (review written while in hotel room)

As a commuting student, I've been staying in hotels regularly recently, but this hotel was by far the worst I've stayed at - and it was the only option I had due to a course-related event at the Etihad. Starting with check in, probably the most important thing of a guest's stay. I was expecting a warm welcome but didn't get it. As I followed a couple in, the receptionist thought I was with them. After I said I wasn't, I was checked in, paid, but then was told to take a seat, which I thought was strange given this hotel knew I was coming and therefore should have my room waiting for me. (I checked in in the evening so there was no excuse.) Never found out the reason why, and can't recall getting an apology. Seeing the sink in the room reminded me of a type of accommodation my previous university had which had a sink in the bedroom because it was a shared bathroom. The toilet in the hotel room was stuffed away in a separate room, with adequate space when the door was closed for what was in there. Very uncomfortable beds, in which I barely got any sleep. (Having an extractor fan going off constantly didn't help either.) The duvet covers weren't very well laundered as they had creases in, even though they had been straightened out. The room didn't have any tea or coffee making facilities - and it's a good job I decided to eat in the city before coming to check in otherwise I wouldn't have been able to have the pot pasta I brought, which I was originally going to have. (Apparently, you have to pay extra for these facilities, which was a first for me as every single hotel I've stayed at in the past has had them in the room. Breakfast was purely continental, which I was blind to at the time of booking due to the absence of any information/menus on the hotel location's webpage. (Other hotels, such as Premier Inn and Travelodge have a menu on each location's webpage so guests can view it before booking.) Not worth £85 and certainly won't be coming back.

Budget friendly, clean and efficient location

I opted for this location and hotel based in its price and they did not disappoint. Checking was less than 5 minutes, just to identify us and reconfirm our booking details. Room size is small (Ibis standard) clean toilet n bathroom, only basic amenities provided. Breakfast and coffee set can be requested and ordered seperately. We opted to eat outside since everything is in 7/10 minutes walking distance. You could also take the bus to the Piccadilly garden city center. Peter who was the receptionist was a very friendly and helpful team member also enquired if everything was OK with our stay. He also helped with storing our baggage after checkout and holding it for a few hours. Check out time was 12 noon and we went back and collected our luggage after some time. Overall I would definitely opt to stay here given the budget pricing.
