Charming Stay at Mercure Resort Hunter Valley Gardens

The Mercure Resort Hunter Valley Gardens offers plenty of parking and features a lovely bar and dining area, with a warm ambiance and an impressive selection of local wines to complement the menu. The food at the restaurant is great, with flavourful, well-presented dishes. The staff are lovely and helpful. I stayed in an upstairs room, which was a good size with well-functioning air conditioning. The room also had a nice little balcony and complimentary biscuits, which were a pleasant touch to enjoy with coffee. However, the room was a bit dated, with older-style furnishings and slightly worn carpets, so don’t expect something new. While the desk was a bit small for extensive work, the WiFi was adequate for basic needs like checking emails and light streaming, though it might not handle heavy video conferencing. The resort’s lovely grounds and beautiful gardens make it a relaxing place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Our 4th or 5th stay at Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens, and it always a shame to have to leave! With beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, great team and delicious food it is always our number one destination in the Hunter Valley. Thank you everyone!

The rooms were very clean and none of those old germ laden bedspreads on the bed. The rooms were very spacious. The whole place oozed with old world charm and the staff were really lovely. The Buffet Breakfast was incredible, so fresh and a wonderful variety to choose from. I couldn't fault a single thing. I didn't want to leave, and I hope to go back again one day.

Stayed 2 nights, check in receptionist rude. First night went to the bar and found the staff to be rude and unhelpful.2nd night different bar staff, lovely lady. Hotel great position for Xmas light display at gardens still a long walk but an easy one.Rooms are dated .Best thing about this hotel is the location close to gardens and wineries.

I had a very pleasant stay here recently. Lovely big room with a small courtyard with chairs and a table and fabulous air-con. I'd say they were probably 1 person short on the front desk for my whole stay...had to wait some time for service at the bar and reception.
